Really nice showcase of it. I wonder how many D110's they sold. For every ten D90's they sold maybe they sold two D110's ? In the two years I've been in the hobby I've never seen one in the flesh!

nice rc vehicles you have,great job on the land rover. just out of interest,how do you find the tamiya hi lux trucks for crawling? am planning on saving up for a crawler vehicle of some sort and the tamiya is on the list,along with axial). thanks.

racefaceec90 The tamiya hilift trucks are not so great for crawling. I use to have a couple. The issue is with the straight rail frame, all the weight is too high up and the transmission is massive and hangs too low out of the bottom. They are fun builds but not the best on the rocks, would make a better trail truck.

I was wondering if you may know the issue I am having. I now have finished putting together the kit and testing it. When I go on reversed, it doesn't move as smooth as going forward. It's choppy when it's on reverse. Is there anything you might be able to suggest me do. Is it the drive-shaft that maybe sticking or needing grease? Thanks in advance.

+MAPAHaus5 to me it sounds like a setting issue with your controller or esc for throttle positions. Unless you can hear any grinding noises.

hey Josh im thinking about getting into crawling and im thinking about gettting this kit.. im beginner but i want the best.. would you recommend this and after i buy the kit what do i gotta buy to get it working at peak performance and paint etc and what website do you reccomend

+Devyn Sigler Honestly I would have preferred to have the standard Gelande 1 kit first. I am currently building one now. I buy a lot of my electronics on ebay or amazon,com. Usually a little cheaper than my local hobby shops but not on everything. Dont cheap out on your electronics, I did on my D110 and it needs upgraded badly now. Get a nice Servo, i like savox but they are around $70 each. Hope this helps you out.

Hi there, I have just started putting together the RC4WD Gelande II Landrover D110. What suspension shocks do you recommend to use for this? Did you stay with the stock or an upgrade?

+MAPAHaus5 I am currently running stock axial scx10 100mm shocks on mine. When I built it it seemed too heavy for the stock shocks. Some people like how it performs with them. I tried the cheap axial shocks and they worked great so I haven't changed them. I did try the king shocks but I didn't like them on there either. My truck is very heavy with the full interior and scale stuff. Hope this helps. Enjoy your kit!

Id prefer a tf2. I have had all of the gelande 2 based trucks but prefer the trailfinder over them. They perform well, just something about that chassis I dont like.

this or the d90? do you find the long links on rear wheel always get stock on the trail?

I never had any issues with the long links. I'm just now running my d90. They seem pretty evenly matched. The long wheelbase will have more issues with high centering. Just depends on terrain.

T-Mobile Kunia I'm running the rc4wd out cry esc and a tamiya can motor. Nothing fancy but it works well I think. Powering it with a 5000mah stick battery

It looks like they are discontinued. Rc4wd has an updated version of the defender90 as a rtr or as a kit now. But no d110

How much would one of these cost? Are they waterproof and can you get rock sets that you can put in your house instead of going in mud?

+ToTheMaxGaming1 These are not cheap.$599 for the base kit, plus a radio and esc, battery etc. Not including all the add ons like the custom bumpers it can get over $1000 quickly. I frequently drive mine inside the house.

+ToTheMaxGaming1 i don't know of any indoor crawling courses this size. Team losi makes stuff for their 1/24 scale rock crawler but would be tiny for this scale. Check out rc4wd.com. They have lots of different trucks like this. The body's are plastic as well as the windows. The chassis are all metal though.
