no idea who thought of doing a sheet metal headliner, i have a 90 grand wagoneer, with no regular headliner the roof gets so hot you can feel the heat radiating on your head when your in the Jeep, with a regular headliner back in the Jeep the heat is gone... Im so glad my 90 had all its interior intact minus missing a headliner.. I would hate to hunt down all the correct stuff, only issue mine had was lots of rust, but i can weld and i do stuff properly so that was less of a issue for me than finding parts

Just from the look of it I'm wondering if the rear axle is a narrow track 44. I dunno it is hard to tell

It sure does look like a narrow track in the rear. Should be more room between the spring perch and the hub.

I really like red on these, it is an unusual color on a Chief. I think '79 was still firecracker red.
