Micka, Love the channel. Would like to see you talk more about gear like you did in this video. I am a Mad Katz rod guy but I have used CTF Hellcat rods and really like them. I think both companies make a good product and are run by quality people. I don't like seeing guys fight about it and bad mouth one or the other. I really like what you did with the hooks. I have used the Dales Tackle hooks and the Whisker Seeker T3. Like you I am leaning towards the T3. I would like to hear your thought on the demon dragons vs. peg floats and rattles; I didn't know there was such a thing as an EVA foam peg float until I watched this video. Reels are another big thing. I have some Shimano Tekota and some Ancient Mariner reels. I have an older Slime Cat reel that has done well for me. I'm really interested in hearing more about the MK reels. If they are like the rest of what they sell it should be a great product. Interested in what the price point will be too. Anyway the short version is more stuff like this is good content. Weights, floats, terminal tackle; crimps vs knots, mono vs. braid, all of it. Keep it coming brother. Your channel is gonna break out here soon I know it. You are going to get to the top tier...

Well I surely do appreciate that. I'd really like to see the channel get up there. But all your suggestions are great and I'm building a list of all the ideas I get and it's great. I can't wait to get started on this content. Thank you again for your suggestions.

If you want to grow the audience. I think interacting more directly might be something to consider. One thought might be to setup/host a catfish tournament with you participating. Maybe a lake or river that is a little outside of your area to help level the playing field Another option might be a meet and greet with fans. Like a happy hour style setup with fans asking you questions and/or some demonstrations of some of your tactics. like you see with some of the bass pros. Maybe some PowerPoint type presentations.

That's a really good idea. I've been wanting to do like a meet and greet. But the open forum of a q and a is in the works. Thank you for your suggestions. I'll take all I can get.

Hey Micka. Thank you for the video of some of the tackle and setups you use. I went back through your videos and watched the one again in July I think, titled mistakes were made. What size hook do you think is best for big cats 30+ what is the benefits for using three or four beads near your hook like on that Patriot thanks again for the content
@mickaburkhart143 ай бұрын
I use the wisker seeker triple threat hooks in 10/0. I've hooked everything from 2 pounds all the way up to 80 pounds. Good all around hook. For me anyway. I use them beads on the rattling rig to keep the rattles from being right at the hook. That way nothing interferes with the fish being able to close its mouth around the hook.
@thecountrylife60783 ай бұрын
@@mickaburkhart14 thanks do you think those beads are necessary for the little inline rattles? Just don't want to lose a fish
@mickaburkhart143 ай бұрын
@@thecountrylife6078 well for me I think so. But you could also use a bobber stop to hold things back from the hook. I've seen it done that way too.

Love the equipment videos and instructions you give. I am new to catfishing and want to buy me some spread-em boards, would you recommend the medium or large size and what are the advantages of each.
@mickaburkhart144 ай бұрын
Well the large size is pretty much standard size. I honestly don't know the benefits of the smaller size he makes as I've never used them. But I would go with the large size because they pull better in low to no current and spread really good in current.
