Rigging a character in ToonSquid | Part 1

Toon squid seems awesome. A lot more user friendly than when I tried out Callipeg. Now, should I get it or wait for Procreate Dreams, then decide? Sadly that’s like a month away. Well I guess it’ll give me time to work on my animation skills using good ol’ rough animator. 😊.. What do you think?

I will be buying Procreate dreams if it is compatible with my ipad mini 5th gen. I have the latest IOS 17 Update so I hope so. If you want procreate dreams and have an ipad then I would say just wait and save and spent the $20 on dreams.

@@Undead_Lamb Well I waited and bought Dreams but found myself rather disappointed. I have now bought Toonsquid and enjoying it. I haven’t however given up on Dreams cos I know sooner than later, it’s gonna be awesome.

It’s default everything! It’s the inking brush called “Split ink”

Hi there i have a question. Why cant i find the frame markers in time line thing? Its not working for me

Simple! Just tap on the number of the frame and it should let you set a marker!

Hello I have a question I was rigging my charcter when I ran into an issue I tried to make the head the parent and the eyes eyebrows and mouth the child layers but when I rotated the head it didn’t work at all? Neither when I tried to parent the body and make the head the child layer it only worked with the limbs?

I would have to see a video of what you mean. I have had issues with it before but it was because I had one of the "transform" settings clicked on when I needed it on. Make sure when you have head(parent) selected to rotate make sure you have the edit pixel later button at the top right(looks like a checker board) on or off and see if that helps. If not then I'll need to see a video of it too fully help you.
