It’s best to mark your loops and then pull the tag line away from the crimp a good ways to burn it. Then you use your marks to reform the loop and crimp it. That way you don’t burn your main line. Even with a little heat you risk weakening your line so you want to avoid that. I would suggest marking your loops so that your burned-mushroomed end will sit right up against your crimp to help a little more to keep the crimp from failing. Also, it looks like you’re using double barrel crimps and you’re crimping them at the wrong angle. You should be squeezing the barrels together (long-ways) as opposed to squeezing them sideways (flat-ways). Maybe you are doing that-it’s hard to be sure from the video.
