I dont mean to be negative, but I absolutely hate ethos as a song. Like, the vocal melodies are the most awkward vocal writing I've EVER heard over prog metal. It sounds like eric couldn't come up with a good melody for it, so he just said "fuck it, I'll go with the very first idea I had for this song and call it good." THE most uninspired skyharbor song imo.

With great respect to your work and your amazing talent, I think that the overall result of these phenomenal vocal streams (including tesseract songs) would skyrocket without background vocals. At certain points, small differences in tuning between live and original vocals sound weird and downgrade the overall result. Looking forward to more videos!

I know that. It sounds like their tones don't mix well in some parts. I would really like to hear Daniel's vocals only. I get that it's probably pretty hard to find and/or create tracks to that song without vocals. It still got me all giddy!

Ok, hes using a sm7b wich has tons of low end, if hes not equing it then its probably the low end or the muddy frequencies of the mic that are overtaking the mix a little bit, and 10000 days isnt a really loud mix either

Jesus you brave man, ?direct line in, ?maybe this was streamed, I mean the band could have tracked the vocals and mixed and mastered and covered the whole song in a weekend…… 😉 and maybe be the first band to do a legit published single/cover of tool that’s approved by the band themselves….and send them to Pete Riedling from RCA Records, but I think tool the band are free from any current contracts and don’t know how to record there next record, and they might just tour a couple more times, but ……..I sense, the band could use some help, I think tool doing a collaboration/partial cover album/hopefully a few new gems come out of jam sessions, Reach Out and Touch Faith, if you build it, they will come.
