Monks live celibate life but lay people do not. When lay people have sexual intercourse with his or her partner, can they practice mindfulness, would that be considered as wrong attention? Or they should put the mindfulness aside when having sexual activity, although I'm not sure if one is able to do that. Does it mean lay people can't practice mindfulness properly?

steve19800 depends on why you are having sex. To use someone and feed an addiction then yes wrong mindfulness; if it is to be a careful, thoughtful and present partner this is more in line with right mindfulness.
