I've listened to almost everyone on the candy rat catalogue and Daniel Padim shines compared to these great guitarists and musicians. What separates Daniel from them is not only sheer technical ability, but a keen compass to build drama and create an epic atmosphere. I place Daniel Padim among the greatest guitarists of our time.

Playing your music is really fun, here is a little background to this song When I learned Temple Spire last year, I listened to the sample of this song. In the course of your releases I understood the meaning of your numbering and knew that I had to be patient a little longer. No matter how many times I try to play this song, I won't be able to figure out how to position my fingers to play it. Seeing you play it now is darkening the light for me, opening the door and giving me access to what I think is the most beautiful song on the album. I wait for this video for this song like I wait for a movie, a season of a show or something else to look forward to. You make me and many others in the world better guitarists. You broaden our horizons and always give us new challenges. You pull us out of the standard tuning and demonstrate to us what sounds this beautiful instrument can produce. You show us that it is possible to always give your best, no matter where you are in life. Thank you for that I am now looking forward all the more to February 29th!

@@danielpadim Often we all stand in front of a gate, desperate to move on, but it seems as if something is standing in our way that we can't see, hear or feel. At some point, we get through the difficult times, through the gate and then usually stand in front of it again faster than we had good and carefree times without it 4:31 It's as if the good days go faster 2:44 and the not so good days go slower 0:01 At the same time, you show us at the end that creative creations and ideas can come about even in difficult times, that things can run fast on both sides 3:54 That you don't necessarily always make progress in life in good times, but also in the bad ones. Sometimes days are like a prison that you want to break out of, that you desperately beat on in your cell out of frustration 0:30 It's Daniel standing at the gate and not letting us through, playing the guitar, talking to us and telling us what to do, us the camera, getting slower and slower to the gate 1:25 and being thrown back again and again when we're about to go through the gate because we often don't understand what the guitar has to tell us. It's as if we're not ready for the next step. But in the end it has been so simple and clear what we have to do before we can move on. As I told you before, I've been listening to this sample for the last few months and couldn't figure out how to play it. Today I've already started learning and I keep realizing how many little things you give to your songs. For example, the emphasis on the slide at 1:17, the small, quiet scratching on the E string at 2:17 or the sharp attacks with flat picking, which have become more and more important to you over the course of your album. You build up significantly more dynamics and, above all, technical demands. The movement of your hands at 3:51 as you switch from fingerstyle to strumming and then to percussive and then back to fingerstyle is so beautiful to watch. For me, this song reflects your album best of all your songs. It's a textbook example of visualizing music. Making it accessible to everyone. Even if you turn the volume all the way down I'm sure people will understand what you have to say. It shows that no matter how hard it seems, it's always moving forward. Time sometimes runs faster, sometimes slower but it doesn't run backwards and against you. Unbelievable. I think you've outdone yourself with this song. Musically and also visually. It's perfect the way it is! I have full confidence in your ability and respect your decisions and wouldn't change a single thing about this video! Big praise also to Vitoria Rossi for this camera work!

Danieal my 2 cents worth is that your best songs have "pads" like this one does. I'm not sure if the pads are from keyboard effects or if they are some sort of reverb but they fill the songs out beautifully without distracting from the accoustic guitar playing. My favourite song of yours (Still Flying) has the same thing going on. Maybe they are on all yours songs but a little less subtle on some. I say go less subtle. Just my opinion :)
