After watching you and Darius shear I can barely stand to watch anybody else do it. They are so rough with the way they manhandle them. 😡 You guys are so calm and so caring 😍 I just I love watching you. Actually in their homeland, Southdown fleeces command the highest price and were the foundation of England’s wealth. That is why the Chancellor of the Exchequer traditionally sat on the Woolsack. Southdowns are very much a minority breed now but it is a versatile multi purpose wool, making amongst other uses, fine woven cloth. Perhaps the American sheep have changed due to breed selection. We noticed at state fairs that many of our breeds have changed character and conformation.

I used to work on a farm in London’s that had only Southdown and Ryland sheep and their crosses. Such a shame it shut down shortly after I left to move to the countryside

I love watching you shear. I really like how kind you are to the animals and take the time to make it a good experience with you. That is especially important for folks pets. You need some merchandise like Cammy from @TheSheepGame.

I always find myself moving with you when you are lifting the sheep up to get a better position. Then I realize that I am empathetically working with you, and it makes me laugh. I never thought I would find shearing so addictive, but I definitely.am. I came across your videos a couple of years ago, and I have enjoyed watching you girls ever since. It's great watching you earn the trust of the sheep and llamas you work with. Amazing resect your skill!

I always like watching the videos you and ur partner make. You both are gentle and when necessary a little more than gentle. Then you teach us city people about the animals and their fleece . I wish you all the best.🎉

Been watching your videos for some time. This is the first time I realize how strong your body is. Including your legs. It's not just the usage of the clippers. Your body holds the sheep. You do not need a gym.

​@@juliestrickland7754, I had the opportunity to chat with a sheep shearer one day. He said that most have very soft hands due to the lanolin. (I put it on my feet to reduce the calluses.)

There’s entire YT channels on getting ahold of that fleece and cleaning it, dying it, spinning it and knitting the yarn. You can also use clean carded roving for quilted garments.

I’m getting my first sheep next year, they’re going to be babydoll. I’ve got experience working on dogs and rabbits but not sheep. Hopefully I can do it! You make it look so easy but I know that’s the experience showing.
