I have a feeling you would have loved doing my sheep. 22 ewes and 2 bucks, all hand raised and all convinced they were labradors. When the youngest buck, Bambi, would get sheared he'd just melt against you. Literally had to push him back on his feet and smack his tush to get him to go away. Always saved him for last, because, ya know, cuddles.

They're interesting animals. People my daughter know has a male Llama who is a guard animal for their farm from predator animals. He's trained to respond to commands to turn off and turn on his duties. Bruno is also pretty small; I'm not an expert, but maybe Llamas vary in sizes.

Your two are gorgeous, sympathetic, really hard working ladies! I absolutely admire your skills, strength and empathy with the animals and the owners. Always being respectful in your comments. I have two and we used to load ours up and take them to the neighbors sheep farm when she had her "many more" sheep done. Now I just shear them myself because shearers don't regularly come out for one or two "pet" animals. Also, from personal experience these ladies are MUCH kinder to the animals. When mine were done professionally they had cuts and nicks everywhere. Everywhere. They were sprayed with so much medical spray it looked like they just came from a hospital instead of like nice new sheared sheep.

My husband does graphics lettering on emergency vehicles. He designs, makes, and installs the lettering on site which usually works out to 12 hour days, also. The thing he hates most is unpacking his stuff when he gets home. By then he’s hot, tired, and ready to just sit down in a nice cool chair. The dog and I usually go out to help him unload, talk to him about his day, bring him cold water to make it a bit easier. He’s been doing this since 1982 and keeps saying he’s ready to retire but I know he’ll die with a paint brush in his hand.

We rescued 2 merinos last year and when they got rung one of the testicles must've gone back up and now I have 2 very pregnant dorpers with lambs that are half merino, he's been properly castrated now 😭. Wow! Beautiful workmanship! Thank you so much for sharing the details about what & why. I grew up in sheep/hog/cow areas & these are some of the best stearing views I have ever seen. Thank you. Many more years of success to you!

Awwww...You both are just so wonderful to your animals. Caring and funny and so awesome at what you both do. It's great to know there are people out there who enjoy what they do, and doing it with humour, love, and professionalism.

Always Great to see your Videos. I don't have Tik Tok or Instagram so always great to see a video. You and your wife work great together. Might want to invest in to Rechargeable Clippers for Hooves. Would make her job easier. Sandy Brock used them on her Sheep and loves them. Can't wait for next Video. Peace from WV

I didn't know there was such a thing as a hair sheep. I thought they were all just wool breeds or meat breeds. Thanks for the education!!

I grew up on a farm, and shearing day was always exciting. It was so satisfying to watch that wool just roll off the sheep. Our shearer must not have maintained his blades very well, because every sheep had multiple wounds when he was finished. I love watching you two make it look so easy and without all the blood. 😊
