Agreed. God could have brought Jesus to this earth as a Christian, preaching Christianity. Instead he was sent as a religious Jewish man. If you are a believer, then you know that god never makes promises that won’t be kept. He knows the beginning and end of the story. His covenant with the Jews is eternal, and Christians covenant with God through Jesus is eternal. They don’t have to conflict with each other. That’s the thinking of Humans, not the writing of God. Through the Jewish people, Christians received their Savior, Jesus-a Jewish Rabbi who was born, lived, and taught as a Jew within the framework of the Torah. Jesus, as the fulfillment of Jewish Messianic prophecies, rooted his teachings in the Hebrew Scriptures and upheld the covenant God made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This grafting does not replace the Jewish people but extends the blessings of Abraham to all nations, fulfilling God’s promise that through Abraham’s descendants, “all the families of the earth shall be blessed” (Genesis 12:3). Jesus unites Jews and Gentiles under God’s purpose, while preserving the unique and eternal covenant with the Jewish people.

To be overly charitable you could make the argument that Mary should be played by someone of Middle Eastern descent for historical accuracy. But of course this Israeli actress may qualify as many Jews in Israel have little or no European ancestry. Nevertheless these people would complain because this issue is an excuse to be anti-Israel or antisemitic and actually has nothing to do with the authenticity of this film.

It was, if anything, way whiter and way more European, as it was a section of Rome, like Constantinople, and had not been conquered and settled by repeated foreign invading ccaliphatesover the centuries. Caliphates that brought in countless African and Asian slaves to change the genetic makeup of the area. Trying to find someone in that region who still has the "correct" Middle Eastern genetic makeup is delusional, as they no longer exist.

Well it is pretty mainstream Islam as the Qur'an holds that all the prophets of Israel where actually Muslim. Also one hadith says that the virgin Mary will be Muhammad's wife in paradise. I want to see at least three or four examples of what the video title indicates: Rightwing Backlash. Instead the guest on the show ends up practically saying the opposite near the end of the content! You fail horribly as journalists when you declare something and fail to prove it. She fumbled a bit, they changed subjects, and she ended up on a side topic with a brief notation to an article she found on her phone in the middle of the interview. I think Joe just caught her off guard because she couldn't respond. But that is just one goof, and I will give her some leeway as I keep an eye on TFP. I hope - really really I hope, that they will be strict and logical with all their reporting. We really need exacting objectivity these days.

It is true that, until she gave birth to Jesus (Yeshua) Mary was not intimate sexually with her husband to be, Joseph, but following the Messiah's birth, Mary went on to have several children and the Gospels clearly speak of Jesus having siblings. See Matthew 12:46-50.

The real issue here is the "wing" bit. Wing nuts on every issue are, by definition, nuts. Most people are more moderate, whether they're aware of it or not.
