Hello Kris Rifa, thank you for sharing your experience with the consumption. 💚

2 notes Kris: - Most cars have non-linear SoC. My Enyaq usually beats ABRP prediction the first 50% of battery with about 2-3% to spare, but then it start dropping much faster south of 50%. So basically if I drive my Enyaq first 200km on motorway and reach 50% SoC, I would expect another 200km of range from it, but the reality is, that I'd get closer to 180km out of the battery (50%->0%). I've verified this on multiple routes. - Also about capacities. Enyaq has 77kWh net battery capacity. However the car reserves another 4% on top and bottom of the battery, so when it is fully charged, the usable capacity (100->0%) is only around 72kWh in new car (and the BMS shows 96% SoC, similarly at 0% indicated SoC, the BMS thinks it has 4% left). Now the 0 buffer can be used below 0%, so technically the usable capacity is somewhere in between, but not sure if we should consider that usable :)

This pack peaks at 180 kW, see test on for example Battery life channel (I also got ca 177 kW on ID.5 GTX).
@KrisRifa2 жыл бұрын
Last update gave it bump to 135kW, so not 180kW 😅
@thorsev69602 жыл бұрын
@@KrisRifa not it's 180 kW. The 135 kW peak is for RWD verisons. Multiple test confirm this. Just check Battery life channel. You need to start at lower SOC to reach the peak.
@thorsev69602 жыл бұрын
You can also check Björns 1000 km challenge with the Enyaq Coupe and ID.5, he get's 170+ kW (470 Amp) on both cars.

Good to see you without the crutches! 👍 Only problem with this car, and the ID.5, is that it cant use a roof rack. (I also feel that these cars deserve a few HP extra..)

Kris, if you want to be a Pro Tester you cannot speculate about the charge speed like this, just hook up an OBD 2 Tool and make sure your battery is warm enough and the SoC is low enough for that sweet 175 kW peak. If you don't demand much power the battery can cool further down the longer you drive..
@KrisRifa2 жыл бұрын
My tests are real world tests that are supposed to be practice and reflect a normal EV user. Using and OBD tool or anything close is not what most people are going to do, so therefore that is not something I am going to do. Speculating of the battery is warm enough or not is exactly what an average user will have to do. As I said from my experience this battery pack has gotten faster charging speed in colder climates after the same amount of driving. That there is an inconsistency is important to portray as this is something average users may experience 👍
@johnminshall2422 жыл бұрын
So is the normal Enyaq a bit better on range, or worse? Personally, I think I’d stick with the regular ‘80’ perhaps on 19s… I can see that being best for range (and space; which is what I’d want).
@deyanvaltchev8209 Жыл бұрын
that is at 110 km/h, right? The speed limit in Europe is usually higher so 110 km/h feels slow. A real motorway speed is 130 km/h. Anyone knows what to expect at that speed in terms of range (decent weather, not too warm, not too cold)?

Very good and very efficient car. But charging is disappointment. DO you know, what version of SW does it have? Was it 3.0 or more?

Never mind that you're from Western Norway, you made this Brit feel very at home with the weather information! 😊🇬🇧 Please be careful walking without crutches before you're leg is better, you don't want to undo all the work so far. What happened to your leg, I missed it if you told us? Or maybe you were not divulging that information, I hope my care doesn't come across as nosiness btw.

That's still not enough range to go somewhere decent for the day, and then come back without having to worry about stopping to charge. For 1/2 to 2/3rds the price, an AWD Kodiaq is a better car for the majority.
@KrisRifa2 жыл бұрын
Not sure where you are getting your pricing from but a Kodiaq vRS is almost the same price as this. Or are you comparing apple to peas? If so, shame on you for misrepresenting the alternative ice version. A Kodiaq vRS would probably get a range of around 500-550km on a tank of fuel, so yes you’re gonna get more range. But most people will still stop after 3-4 hours on the road to eat, drink, pee etc. So stopping at a charger for 30mins is simply convenient for most people. I’ve done several large road trips through Europe and it’s not an issue at all. You’ll find all of them here on the channel so you can take look for yourself. And if you’re on of those “I need a car that can go 1500km non stop without needing to stop”, well then an EV atm isn’t for you. But people like you are then an extreme exception from the rule. 90% of new cars sold on Norway are EV and somehow its working just fine 🙈😅
