If this saw has a lower thrust bearing with the blade running on the side of the bearing consider some other brand. I have a 10-346 and a friend has a 10-347 and both have the lower thrust bearing with the blade running on the face of the bearing instead of the edge. Neither of us would buy a Rikon again.

Since the speed of blade is almost 5000 fpminute, is this a plus benefit over other band saws? Thanks Roy
