There's no way tournaments aren't there. Even Smash has those, it's a *staple* of Dragon Ball. It'd be downright foolish to cut it out.

Kinda wish they used the tournament stage for splitscreen though, just keep it indestructible like in in BT3 and keep the ringouts rule. The ringouts was what makes handicaps fun.

One thing concerning is the statement that online is 1v1s only. I hope that’s a mistranslation. We need online 5v5 and tournament play.. Also I don’t like how blue evolved has been portrayed so far. Hoping that’s a transformation. Either way, game looks really good so far and I’m sure they’ll make it even better going forward.

The devs couldn’t do it because of the high strain of the graphics with the destruction. Modders coukd however make maps with no destruction in it

So maybe in 2024, cross play is something that they just plan on implementing in their games going forward! Tekken 8 also has it, and that was published by bandai, a game that has come out in 2024
