Riley's HOUSE Makeover in INSIDE OUT 2...

Did you catch the little décor tweaks in Riley's house in Inside Out 2 Trailer? It's not just Riley's look that got a makeover - The house she's living in over in San Francisco got a bit of a touch-up too, and we picked up on it. Granted, the trailer doesn't spill all the beans on the house, but we did catch at least one change. Check out these two paintings lurking back here by the stairs. See the left one with a tree, and then, the one on the right seems like a sketch of four other semi-abstract trees. Now, rewind a bit to the scene where Riley's dad is chilling in the dining room with her pal. Notice those same two paintings behind the stairs? Yep, but here's the kicker - They're there, but flipped. Now, that's a nifty detail worth a second look.

I like think the 4 trees represent the 4 new emotions and their behind the stair railing which can represent bars. Their locked away till the 2nd movie where their free and the big tree for the other emotions who are the base for Riley are locked up. Idk if they ment that but thats what i like to think

Could be a representation of the seperation between the other emotions and anxiety's introduction into the mix. The flipping of the paintings could be so the picture of the four other trees cab be seen better so the symbolism is more apparent 🤷 Edit: now that I'm thinking about it, the tree painting that is a single tree separated from the group fills up the full of the painting, or is *invasive*, just as anxiety is perceived to be to the other emotions. And as the painting with the other trees shows them very squished together in a way that is form fitting in familiar, so the discomfort of something so unfamiliar and different is seen more blatantly. If that was the intention, it's a pretty neat detail.
