Yeah, I get what you mean! CC'd first two series were meh and bad, but her third one the Dark Artifices is one of my fav trilogies ever. So on one hand I would recommend you trying to read Lady Midnight anyway. But on the other hand you would get so much more out of it if you knew previous materials. So... yeah😅

i totally agree with the arcs thing. i liked physical arcs in the beginning bc i felt like they were *~important~* to have, but now they just take up so much room. i read e-arcs so much faster anyways, so unless it's a series i want to collect (caraval, nevernight, sjtr) i really don't request physical copies

Wow you can be super proud of not having a panic attack when your car didn’t start because it happened to me a year ago and I fully ugly cried, called my mom, she convinced me to call the assistance who told me I wasn’t covered so I got my stepdad to come jump start my car. I can appreciate the stress of it and applaud you for controlling your anxiety!

I had a really similar problem with my car that ended with me breaking down on a road trip (luckily I had friends that helped out). My cam/auxiliary belt had broken which meant my alternator wasn’t working properly and the battery therefore wasn’t charging properly. Maybe get that looked out.

I would suggest if you want to try and read some Cassandra Clare books, to read the infernal devices series. That is my favourite series she has written, and I find it to be a lot better than the mortal instruments series. ❤️😉
