I’m not doing the exact same challenge as you, but at the beginning of this year I had 100 books on my physical tbr and my goal is to get to under 50 (I’m at 56 right now!) love this series!!
@swill922Ай бұрын
I did this in 2023 I also included in my challenge to not buy any new physical books during that year. So now I have a kindle full of books that I acquired during that year.

I just finished an unhaul and brought my physical tbr down to 728 😬 I don't wanna talk about how we got here... so my goal for the remainder of the year is to get below 700. And then hopefully slow down the buying a little bit.

I'm glad you enjoyed This Delicious Death! When I was reading it I was reminded of the British zombie show In the Flesh. It doesn't have the lighthearted feeling of the book. But it does a lot with allegories of people being prejudiced against the zombies. It's a great show, I definitely recommend it if you've never seen it. It's also queer!

So glad you read Elder Race. Putting on my TBR now. I have read Adrian's sci fi books and loved them. I did really enjoy the Children of Time series (speculative fiction/hard science) then I read the Architect series (Space Opera). So if you don't like one, try the other. I had to remind myself that it was the same author.

did you know iZombie was originally a comic? might be a fun video idea to compare them!
@sexydoorframes2 ай бұрын
They're so completely different! You're more likely to struggle to find things that are the same between them both rather than the differences. The show and comic share that there is a girl who is a zombie and eats brains. That's it really! Everything else is completely different, I mean the comics has ghosts and other supernatural beings! It is really interesting how they taken the idea of a girl who is zombie and eats brains and then taken it completely different directions that they can hardly be compared to each other because they're nothing alike 🧟♂️ Interesting comic series, though I do wish it was longer as the last volume felt rushed.

What does Saffic or Saphic mean? I hear people say it and for a while I thought they were saying SciFic but that’s obviously wrong. 🤣
@orbitsomnia2 ай бұрын
Sapphic refers to wlw or women loving women, it's similar to lesbian but more inclusive of other gender identities and sexual orientations. The male equivalent to Sapphic is Achillean

When you were describing 'this delicious death' I was thinking of iZombie!! I loved that show too so I'm keen to give this one a try. Bonus: sapphic. :') Oooo I have a little self spruik, I reviewed the Phoenix Keeper on my channel. It's so cute and snuck up on me emotionally, I reckon you'd quite enjoy it! As an Australian, when you said they called them their Fated instead of their Mate, I was like, THANK GOD. I cannot unhear 'mate' 'hey mate how ya doin'' every. dang. time.
