But the reason it played out that way was because Silvervale reached out to Layna right after Bunny's odd behavior, got the real story on what had been happening between them, and then realized that Bunny had been trying to manipulate her. That's why Silvervale stopped all communication, she did research and got wise. It wasn't just a lucky bullet dodge.

This is from a PC Gamer article I read (yeah, yeah, I know: gAmeS JoUrnalIsM iS bAd. Too bad there's nothing else that isn't idolization or lambasting about him, so deal): Apparently, the issues with Mike Z ran deep for years, as "he hurt everyone at Lab Zero", according to an ex employee. The beginning of the end was his mockery of George Floyd's death as a commentator for a fighting game tournament, making a joke about Floyd's last words: "I can't breathe"; the other two commentators present refused to respond and caused dead air for more than ten seconds. Instead of apologizing right then and there, he wrote an apology on Twitter after the venue was over; needless to say, this landed him and Lab Zero in hot water and didn't help his case. As the fallout of that misstep happened and the company was trying to see how they could salvage the situation, people in the company attempted to assist in course correcting; he rebuked them, became worse, and blamed his "cruel, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate remarks to employees" on his Autism Spectrum Disorder (as you and I know, not an excuse for such.) Two months later, BunnyAyu and the other model's allegations came to light. Less than a month after that, Lab Zero imploded. Mike Z was most recently involved in another indie fighting game (not naming it, look for it yourselves) supposedly he was very well behaved and is "a changed man" according to him and the (female) executive producer for the game. How he was a "genius" programmer for the net code and other miscellany, but implying she wouldn't give him a chance if he slipped up in spite of trying to redempt him. This is suspect in my eyes. Not naming names: two ex-directors sued him for alleged mistreatment and sexual harassment. He countersued them back, alleging conspiracy, breach of contract, defamation, appropriation of trade secrets and other myriad infractions. In the years since, he hasn't dropped the lawsuit as it is apparently still ongoing. In my opinion, he is behaving as a "changed man" to help him succeed in his countersuit and not lose his position as a darling developer of said game. Time will tell what happens next.

The thing is though, at least from what I've seen, the vtubing community is also very supportive of each other. It may just be the vtubers I follow, but all of them seem to be more concerned with making sure everyone is having fun and do well than anything else. You will have clout chasers in any social media medium and there are what I consider to be tourists to the vtubing community that are only in it for their own gain; this is not the norm though, from what I've seen.

Infact, thinking about silvers come up I didn't really hear about her until she started collabing with mel, mouse and nyanners before they started vshojo. And back then mel and mouse did hang around nux alot. Which is for me, how I got to know them. They hung with nux and got their own footing (mel and mouse) then branched off and hung with other vtubers, which included zen,sil and froot. If I'm correct outside of mel and mouse sil had some of the more raunchy and lewd dialogue when talking about innuendos. Then she chilled out as she got a following. But for me from what I saw her beginnings were heavy with collabs among the founding girls of vshojo. And while she'd do her own solo stuff she did alot of collabs. I'd argue that she did so many collabs back then that her initial tweet during the start of the nux/vshojo drama about nux using his friends for views rang as such a self projection parody of what she did, ie using collabs with her friends to grow herself. It was a pot talking to the kettle vibe in that sparky comment she made and you could tell she'd been holding onto that line and had a less than stellar opinion of nux before things broke down the way they did in that drama. Infact that heavily soured my opinion of her because there was no need to take such a dig at him as if he wasn't partially responsible for her starting success of massive growth (ie nux hung out with mel and mouse and their followings grew alot and then sil by extension started hanging out with mel and mouse and nyanners and fed of that growth). She hides some high school drama snark it feels like from bother her tweets and actions during that drama as well as her statements about not hanging out with mouse when she left vshojo. She comes across as a pull the claws out to get a dig in type of person.

It's talent driven which means that if the talents that caused issues leave the company becomes very different. Niji didn't have an issue with a few toxic people, Niji has a problem with toxic management and talents who are protected by said management on the EN side, and the JP side just doesn't seem to be run in the best way either, being very company first.

i've watched a streamer called Bikeman for well over a decade now, a long time ago now he had some screenshots of a conversation taken out of context, he was totally innocent and the whole thing was easily explained but, at a time in his life where he was suffering with serious health issues and had just been backstabbed by the women he was kind of "talking to", his streamer friend group instantly and brutally abandoned him, kicked him from their streamer group and disavowed him, they refused to let him speak or attempt to explain, making him look awful to their audiences, and then even after they learned the truth, that he was totally innocent, they never put out statements attempting to correct their actions against him or apologized to him, it was such a low in Bikeman's life that he seriously considered thoughts about making attempts on his life. that streamer friend group? the likes of "Cletus Bueford" "Classypax" "BurkeBlack" "CRReam" and would you fucking believe it, Admiral fucking Bahroo.

I was introduced to bunny when she collab'd with Lost Pause, Mel, Silver, and Mousey playing _DDLC_ . I watched bunny for her comfy vibes, she was even one of the VTubers on whom I based some custom plamo. Once I saw that she'd been a bully for a long time, and still was through the way she was 'apologizing,' I stopped following and watching her. I removed the plamo from my shelves (despite being very proud of how they'd come out) until such time as she actually recognizes what she did was wrong, and why it was wrong. I haven't heard anything as of now, so I very much doubt she has changed. Despite everything, I still hold out hope she eventually will. I shouldn't have to say, but don't go after people, ever.

I hate to say this but I've been people like her will never change no matter what. Proof is how her last response to the whole controversy was. It's nothing but pointing fingers at others being: "OH BUT THEY DID WORSE AND SHOWED ME THIS!" No accountability. And since then it has been nothing several dramas a year with people getting exposed or quitting or saying why they stopped vtubing or what ever else. I'd gotten into.watching vtubing from the funny clips of vtubers like in holo live. I then thought hmm some eng vtubers would be great. Then they started popping up and things were great till the nux incident at least in my eyes. No rivalries just fun clips, memes, being a member of so many fan groups and the occasional lewd lines and interactions. Then from there it's just "what fresh drama will this year bring?" After that initial major drama. In fact I think before the whole initial major drama from the nux situation the vtubing sphere was fine. At most the biggest issue I remember was that person who had trouble with Mel's model. If there was any major drama I couldn't tell you of it. Ever since then it's been like watching one of those weird dramas aimed at high schoolers from on nickelodeon. Where there's a bunch of drama and cliques except because there are a bunch of adults behind the avatars there massive imaturity and in some cases real crimes and vile people doing harmful things

@@thatoneoni I wish my bliss lasted as long as yours did. I started watching vtubing because it seemed like a cross between anime and streaming and was equal parts lewd, wholesome and funny. It didn't seem as drama fueled as normal streaming. Then the Nux/vshojo incident occurred and honestly some of the girls responses on the vshojo side (especially silvers and nynanners, in particular sils initial tweet at the start saying nux used his friends for views and nyanners long post in her discord) really felt like I was watching a horrible high school drama that people could have solved behind the scenes but because communication had seemingly been broken down, there wasn't a chance to and everything blew up. That incident was the start of things. And not in a "oh it started all the drama" kind of way. But in a that was the first big drama and there have been a number of big dramas as if Pandora box was opened kind of way. And it really just really dissapointed me about the western side of vtubing. We don't hear much about drama from vtubers and vtubing in a japan and other places as we do about vtubers and vtubing here in the west.

His entire persona is fake and untrustworthy, and it's just a matter of time when he gets into trouble that he cannot contain to his echochamber.

They even had a bet that if Strippin could beat a heavily modded XCOM 2 playthrough that Bahroo beat, they would get together in person. Thank you for making this video! Ever since I noticed on Twitter that Bunny Ayu was trying to come back as a vtuber, I knew it was only a matter of time before somebody revisits this explosive situation (Ironically, this popping off back in 2022 and wanting to look up the information you shared is why I even made a Twitter in the first place). Also, another thing to note about that 3rd "apology" Twitlonger from Bunny Gif was that around Vixenshelby's segment before talking about the Texas trip with Jenna, there was the infamous " [apology here] " box at the end of one of the sentences. It legit came off as an unfinished post made on the fly, and for some of us that slip up also casted doubt on whether she had made this post at all or had her PR Team make it for her after continual feedback. Either way, it looked bad on her image and I had enough. I didn't even finish it all the way through the first time around when I decided to fully stop supporting her. One last thing to note that I'm sure you weren't aware of at the time, Bunny was also caught later in that same year trying to inch her way back into Layna's friend circle again at that time (assumedly to restart the slander campaign against her) and was called out for it on another Twitter post made by Layna because she was informed of it by another mutual friend that filled her in on what was happening. In short, I can only hope that Bunny will stay in her lane this time and no try to make a repeat of what happened in 2022, but only time will tell.

AB's horrible treatment of other content creators and especially artists is what did it for me. I was always in his chat and in his discord server, but once Dya Rikku, who I have heard nothing but positive things about and from her own streams, came out with her own story I was so done. Come to find out that there was a reason his old emotes were so good: he stole them from others to varying degrees and success. Once they all got revamped, his emotes were completely soulless and it's clear why: he never understood why the originals were good in the first place. He lucked into a few good ones, but I still have my doubts about the true origins of even his best emotes that I thought were his idea. Any of them that are the same from his original set are either something he originally thought up or an emote he feels can bully his ownership onto. Fuck that guy. The fact that he instantly responded to this on twitter only shows how little he's changed. Absolute clown of an individual. It took over ten years alone to just *start* recovery, slowly rebuilding friendships with those old community members who ended up experiencing the same pain not long after I had been harrowingly bullied off the site for things that I never did and would never do in a billion years. No way to prove something never happened when the bad guys have manufactured evidence and stories more believed simply because they were around the community longer and thus only slightly more trusted. I will never forget that pain. I'm not sure I can ever fully trust others ever again--luckily I have found a new community that matters to me that I met this year. These people have led to a lot of healing that I can't even being to describe, and it's leading to better things in my life.

What is vtubing? To me it's a place for people who are scared or can't interact/entertain with their camera's on, but still wanted to. First vtuber i followed was ironmouse. Not because of her amazing colabs with lost pause and nuxtaku, but for a clip "they bought it befor she could explain what it was" where chat bought her "work station" a motorized bed. I loved the generosity and community wnd followed. Second one i followed was snuffy. She sounded so scared as it was her first week streaming, and I'd never talk except to bully her for being to hard on herself. Im happy to say, any place i go is a place were anyone can belong, and simply that is what vtubing is to me. Everyone has somewhere they belong.

I started following Layna when Slugbox, the artist behind the BunnyAyu figure design, began to promote it, I remember her posting so many wips of the figure, from down to the basics to more refining, even her promoting it a lot with Slug as Slug did not only the design and artwork, but even a comic that was suppose to tie with Susu model design. Then one day I noticed she just deleted all the posts, and stop posting, I first assumed maybe the figure finally dropped and she was taking a break but to learn that she went on a hiatus from bullying is so heartbreaking, I do remember when she did come back and began to work on her current vtuber model, from vroid to edits she did her self but she wasn’t as active anymore. It really fucken infuriating that she spent so much work, money and time on her job with Bunny while bunny just sat making excuses then backed out leaving her to pick up the mess. Then the audacity to claim victim like youre not in 20k debt and blame her like holy shit. I’m just glad she’s back streaming with friends she isn’t afraid to be around (honesty strippin a certified G invited to the carne asada for how he handled Bahroo) and I hope more success for her to come cause she’s extremely skilled and hard working

Oh dear, Bunny. So I was within the ground-zero of that news breaking originally and it was like "Bunny just self-canceled." How do you survive with that little self-awareness. You can not burn a bridge with someone and just pretend like things are okay now. One of two things always happens: - Someone else "has the same experience", and compares notes, and goes "hmm, maybe it wasn't just me they did this to" - A business wanting to work with them will check their social media, see some kind of rumor about how the person cheated them out of money and just immediately go "nope". The person then wonders why everyone won't work with them and find out it's the same person spreading the rumors. You can not sabotage someone and expect no consequences. Like up until that story broke, I always found Bunny's content to be borderline clout-chasing, like it was clear she wanted to be "in" with the girls who later became Vshojo, but you can literately see the exact point where Bunny stopped being in collabs with Silvervale right after the Arcadum canceling.
