(especially in the first year or so) There also might be some videos from her first channel (Nyanloevsbagels) that weren't reuploaded to any other channels, that became permanently lost when that channel was taken down

I think there's a couple reasons. The first is they all got better and more professional mics and second, I think talking into a mic everyday for hours on end naturally lowers your voice. I've noticed the same effect with radio hosts. Edit: I'll add a third reason and that is better projection through confidence from experience.

I have heard a few vtubers talk about the early days of vtubing popularity. It was still new and fresh and there was the perception that part of the magic was playing up the anime-ness and being a character. As time goes on, most vtubers move into the more comfortable area of just being themselves, more than putting on a performance. Maybe you find this fakey, but we see it all the time elsewhere. People definitely have a different way of speaking in public/private. There's KZbinr voice, news anchor voice, radio voice, public speaking voice. It's all part of that performance specific to the environment, and just remember that vtubing is always on some level a type of performance

ngl I'm so used to everyone either loving or hating Nyan that I was expecting rhis to go hard one way or the other. She was the first VTuber I ever watched (back in 2020 not long after her debut actually (KZbin only though 'cause I didn't know what Twitch was)), and she is still my oshi to this day. She's been through quite a lot and I'd say she's definitely made some mistakes, but she always seems like she's trying improve and just make people happy. I appreciate not having to see her get shit on but still have issues adressed in a video, seriously-- thank you so much for this ❤

I feel like George 'Jojo' Miller/Filthy Frank was a good example of distancing yourself from your past. The man got bored/tired of the Filthy Frank persona, especially now that the voice was damaging his vocal cords, and he decided to move on from the persona altogether. He left the fans with a final piece of content in the form of a "lore audio book" and announced his departure. He expressed his gratitude to the fans that stuck by his as Filthy Frank. It wasn't the smoothest departure as some fans did feel betrayed, but he made it clear that he didn't regret his time as FF. He left the content up and occasionally referenced his past content with some fondness. Nyanners did herself no favors condemning her past fans the way she did. I understand people grow/change, but she reaped what she sowed. She cultivated the fandom, she shouldn't act surprised at the fact they turned on her after being demonized by the creator they once looked up to.

The Alter Ego compromised his health. On top of that, Filthy Frank never got monetized. At the end of the day, he left the persona behind for numerous reasons. The point I'm trying to make is he had the decency to not burn bridges with the FF fans, even after they shit he had to deal with when he broke character to reveal the status of his health. Joji was thankful to the FF fans that supported him up until the retirement of the character. If nothing else, it inspired loyal fans to follow him into his Joji career.

I mean, if they did or could, they probably would have done it for KZbin rewind so it doesn't get the record for literally being the most disliked KZbin video in history. Botting protection is the more reasonable explanation, as this (= creating a distributed botnet that creates YT accounts and sends dislike web requests) is what haters often (try to) do if they disagree with a video.

They do censor Superchats and comments constantly because context never matters and no one is allowed to have grownup conversations ever. I got banned once from leaving comments anywhere for a day because I used the "f word." They'll remove or demonetize whole videos for being "advertiser unfriendly," but will still put ads before, during, and/or after the video and just not have to share the revenue. Some people claim to constantly get unsubscribed to channels. I've never once had it happen to me, but they did force subscribe me to that girl living *In a VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!* (Rip Chris Farley) They could easily remove dislikes and claim they were removing botted dislikes if they wanted to. I mean, they removed the whole feature because Joe Biden and his people couldn't put a video out on the white house channel without it getting massively disliked The Disney Star Wars channel also got massively disliked.

Nyanners is a prime example of why you shouldn't burn bridges for no reason. Even if you never want to cross that bridge ever again, you make enemies of everyone on the other side of the bridge. Worse, Nyanners took such a strong stance that now a bunch of people now ask her why she's looking over to the over side of the bridge. She could've just said something like "I felt like I was being type-cast too much and I wanna try different things." Also, an interesting thing that not a lot of people have connected to the Nux incident was that a few months prior, one of the largest scam-baiting channels, Jim Browning, had gotten phished and temporarily lost his channel because of it. If it can happen to Jim, it can happen to anyone. VShojo should've been the one to come out informing people this was happening, not Nux.

While I don't actively follow her I do believe the content she makes is entertaining and I'm glad she's in a better place now, that said... Burning the bridge with your old fans and calling them names for liking the content YOU made is disheartening and when you entertain and interact with others that are ok with that content is HYPOCRISY and that leaves a bad taste in people's mouth. It could be handled better but I don't hate her for it. And the things with Nux is kinda sad because I think after the incident the dude also went a bit sour with not only his content but also with lolicons too (kinda ironic) AND with a portion of his fans... Whats sad about the nux thing is at the time he stopped his fans from going after vshojo which could have crippled them at the time I believe. Especially since his fan base also includes Charlie's and lost pauses and mutas to an extent. How ever that whole even sort of soured him and he became very jaded. Plus people either love him or hate him l, not to many people seem to want to just chill with him and his brand of humor does not seem to do him favors in that area. On the bright side I have been enjoying him reacting to lore videos on different franchise. It's a return to form. Honestly I wish he'd stuck to that instead of branching out into vtubing because while it started well, it feels like it caused him to much pain. I wish he'd stuck to anime talks and topics. Maybe it'd have been better for his mentality and emotions in the long run to avoid vtubing.

​@@Tahu33446Nux has moved away from associating with vtubers except the very few that are associated with a project Moistcritikal created and the indie vtubers that don't associate with people that fucked him over, and now makes content more with creators like Mutahar and Oompaville. The "drama" he had with Revsaysdesu showed his opinions and his 7 levels of satire humor and his few comments made when reacting to the SSSniper Wolf drama shows how justified his content. To be fair, in both responses to each drama he made some fair points and understood that his opinions conflict into this hypocrisy. Things have changed in his life for better or for worse. During a video learning about Star Wars lore, he said he was born in 1996 and is 28 years old. I started watching his content in 2020, during the pandemic, when I started watching more anime, he was 24ish and I was 15. In some ways I can understand why the path he's taken has made him this jaded. It's sad what putting trust in people that don't truly care about do to you. Nux is sad case of what happens when that type of situation sours your look on life so much, you begin to hate everything, since you can't even trust your "fans" to not slander you. I'm happy he has a wife, and hope he never gets doxxed or swatted again. But to him, he both loves and resents the internet equally. The internet is a circus he tunes into, since it is creative and emotional outlet. I could keep rambling on and on, but I can never truly hate him, because as hypocritical he may be, he was a creator that helped develop my interests in anime and KZbin especially the commentary community. Disappointed, a bit, but his character keeps me watching. Hell he keeps me talking in this situation about him, because of the situations I've been through watching him. I'm doing college now, trying for both a major in music and business, trying to get into the music business, but also be an entrepreneur. DanTDM, SML, and ZackScottGames, and AnimeBroMii, may he burn in hell, were the first TouTubers I watched, but from 2017 to now, I think I am more attached chronically to KZbin than other parts of my life. I'm trying to change that, which is why I'm going to college, because I'm trying to figure myself out. I need to stop talking now, because this reply is long and is taking way too much of my time. @@S.B.C-Pixi I see your point, and even through ALL the stuff he said that I disagree with, I don't hate him, it's just right now he's making content *I* don't feel inclined to consume (and his humor feels one note) so I don't watch him often anymore. And a little side note on his LONG reaction videos that I don't watch, I would rather see someone actually experience something (mostly with game lore videos) with their own hands. For TV shows I think the videos are too long, he goes on too many tangents and his one note humor doesn't do it for me anymore. Glad you're on that professional grind, dude, keep it up 👍

I have a personal connection to Nyanners, having found her content relatively early on. I joined the voice calls where about two dozen of us would chat with her. Things fell apart though, when I gave my opinion that people with mental health issues should address their problems before seeking romantic relationships. She got pissed and organized her other fans to generally harass me wherever I interacted with her community. Essentially I was bullied out of the community because she attacked me over a difference of dating advice. She's gone through a lot of shit that was over the line of decency (especially harassing her family), but I can't say she doesn't deserve the hate based on the persona she chose to be. I specifically will continue to hate her because she personally attacked me. But with that said, I'm gald to see that she's pulled through and found more success than ever.

Maybe she went after you for personal reasons. She doesn't feel to me as being the most mentally stable person (not at all), so maybe she felt attacked by you - with only a small maybe, when you see her actions afterwards. From what she wrote later it seems as if she was really trying to get a cute boyfriend, while being too much of an autist (which explains her 4chan years and also later stuff) to see through the lies that many of those that tried to get to her threw at her. Idk she probably had a bunch of trauma after all the doxxing about that happened to her. Her sister's grave was defiled, her parent's house phone was called, that also means that they probably had her actual address which would be absolutely terrifying to me. I can't really make that excuse for her behavior when it's clear she was fine with that treatment being targeted at anyone that's not her. The entire situation could have been handled privately, but she chose to put that energy out there (and let's be realistic, that message to her Discord was always going to get spread around by her fans, no way she didn't know that with all the experience she has dealing with internet drama).

As a fan of Nux, I can honestly say that he is not totally in the right. He does have a tendency to start drama over things he shouldn't without thinking things through totally or reaching out (IE: calling TheQuartering out of the Dr.D situation without watching his opinion on the matter grow). I also do not think he is totally wrong either. With that said, they say "Sunlight is the best disinfectant". The Vshojo doxing mess was a shit show through and through and two things can be true at the same time. You can want credit/clicks/money while at the same time of doing something to help the community. Those who exacerbated the situation by attacking Nux and wanting the whole mess to stay hidden only made matters worse. This is the internet.... The only way to prevent the mess is to get out in front of it and let the sunlight shine upon it (although this being the internet, the trolls and idiots will still try to cause drama/issues). Nyanners was wrong in the ways she handled the manner along with VShojo. If you are open to having your opinion change, then ok. With that said, he has stated from the beginning that in this day and age of cancel culture it is always wise to hold off on definite judgement until all facts are in. He began off with a staunch defense with the "Incident" being 7 years ago and rumors swirling. He never once defended the act by stating that Doc was a cheater and if rumors are in fact true he would denounce whole heartedly. He spoke that it had already became political (and I don't mean by "Right/Left" politics) only stating that "We don't know all the facts in the case, just conjecture". He continued his defense that people do have a right to have personal growth and make a comeback if the mistake was never repeated (he was referring to in general in this case and not to Doc). As more information came out, he continued to preface with that there was no hard evidence, but it was beginning to appear that it was "Mostly true" and he backed off his defense prefacing that we still do not have all the facts. He is right that we do not know everything. We do know Twitch is known to doing some real shady shit. Throughout all of his videos he would always say that even though it appears that Doc maybe guilty (and consistently stated that if true, then he should lose his sponsors or audience if they choose so), Twitch is not off the hook and should also bare scrutiny. Long story short, regardless of your feeling of the "quarter pounder", as you call him, and his politics, he never once said he is completely innocent and should be punished if this is not a disgruntled ex-twitch employee pushing this narrative for clout (Other emails came out later that suggested that this may be a setup job, but again... these emails are rumors and not confirmed). Is TheQuartering guilty of coping, yes, but he was misrepresented in his views in the video calling him out. Again, Nux wasn't entirely wrong. In most of his videos he does a fairly good job of putting the majority of the context in there. This one was a bit was rushed and I completely understand because if it is true, then punishment NEEDS to be done justly as this type of behavior is unfathomable. That was my entire point, not to defend anyone, just more context. As far as grifters.. this word keeps being used so much that it means nothing anymore. EVERY KZbinr is a grifter of sorts. If something gets views and therefore money... do more of it. It is not a bad thing unless we are referring to a certain kick guy that like to be sneaky (Sorry bad pun). After all, content creators need to make a living. I tried to formulate my judgement based on all sides by watching their videos as well. Although, I must say, I never watched Doc nor cared for his content.

People think too black and white about the "Loli" topic. I think it's pretty clear she doesn't condone the sexualisation of 'Loli', but that doesn't mean people can't find the art/characters cute. She took a hard stance against "lolicons" because she was desperate to get away from the audience she had cultivated as a (taken advantage of and socially underdeveloped) child. She went through massive trauma because of it. People don't have to like her, but it feels like anyone still trying to catch her in a "gotcha" moment is just doing it for the sake of being contrarian and making her life harder (rather than for any kind of justice).

After I read about the rumor regarding that line in the song, I took to a 4chan archive site to try and find out more information, and to see if there was anything to this rumor, and I saw enough people there state the rumor as fact, that I completely believe it. From what I've seen, even by the time Nyanners made her pomf video, the phrase "salty milk and coins" had been used out of context so much, that most people using it had no idea what it came from. Most people thought it came from a screenshot of a thread where someone asks what female genitalia tastes like, with two people replying with the two parts of the phrase. Every time I saw someone ask what the phrase meant, some people would reply "oh someone asked what female genitalia tastes like, and that was the reply". Some people would reply with Nyanners pomf video. It wouldn't be until much later, if at all, that someone who knew of the phrase's illegal origin would reply accordingly. With that in mind, I severely doubt that Nyanners knew what "salty milk and coins" truly meant. I don't think it's outright impossible, I just severely doubt it.
