Basically, there were two factors involved. . 1) Rimiru at the time was considerably more powerful than the one who named Gabiru originally. 2) Since that individual died, it seems to have allowed for anyone more powerful to overwrite the original naming. . Since normally anyone simply speaking another's name would likely be much less powerful than the namer (because it takes a good chunk of magicules to even accomplish it), nothing would happen even with the death of the original namer. But in this case, merely speaking Gabiru's name coming from Rimiru, and with the original namer dead, it overwrote the original naming using Rimiru's power. . Basically, you can always rename someone with a NEW name, if you're more powerful than the original namer. But, it seems that if the original namer dies, you can do the same thing just by speaking the monster's original name, if you're more powerful than the original namer was. . Either that, or Rimiru just has a weird hidden skill that lets only him do that. Maybe because he's a reincarnation?

It wasn't necessarily the naming that made him so powerful. It was the fact that Rimiru used his own slime (not a potion) to heal the bug...THEN named it. He fundamentally altered the bug's physical nature with his own OP slime body, and then gave it a name from his absurd magicule reserve. And because of the integration of Rimiru's "flesh" into it, each subsequent power boost made it even more powerful at a steeper rate than the rest. . Think of him like a kind of...slime-borg.

So Ranga has Ultra Instinct, Shion has a Susanoo, Haki and pretty much a Sharingan, what am i gonna see next XD Ok now Benimaru has Amatarasu Diablo also has a Haki, and Thought Domination is just more Sharingan / Rinnegan stuff Zegion has Illusion World, so just Genjutsu, and also just Conquerer Haki XD. Also another Haki, and more Sharingan Rinnegan stuff Everyone with Space-Time control and Spatial Travel is just a rinnegan more or less. What I meant was Dagruel's powers are not yet revealed in LN but we do know he tied with Veldora. I understand that Veldora wasn't as strong and skilled with Magicule when he fought Dagruel but still he tied with Veldora, a true dragon. That's why I said Dagruel is a good contester since you practically said that Zegion is stronger than all other octagram except those few.
