Nah it’s just now awaken Diablo can fight true dragon level beings if you saw him vs Zelanus you know that’s the same thing Giy did against Velzard from earlier thousand years ago he had only awakened some thousand years before he met her and Veldanava but as you see he didn’t have any strong Opponents to fight and increase his energy and power against it was just Majins and probably strong Monsters at demon lord seed level like Oni’s and Elemental spirits but of course the elemental are act awaken demon lord level not all but the Superior spirits are though greater spirits are DLseeds level and calamity class

From the moment he awakened Diablo limits was lifted he is on par with true dragons it's not like other beings who needs to gain battle experience or be alive for centuries and thousands of years to get stronger after awakening benimaru and the other subordinates will eventually get to that level after years but rimuru, zegion and Diablo Don't need that long leon was disaster class then super awakened and now he is Catastrophe after rimuru help him get free and change his Ultimate skill his energy and skill increased so he is more powerful than before
