Shizu died but is eaten by Rimuru to allow her to rest in peace, what you see is her retiring to her mother who she never got to have a proper life with. Who’s to say anyone who has died wants to be reincarnated, Shizu wanted to die so I think it turned out for the best and a part of her will always be there with Rimuru, his whole physique is based off of her

Exactly. When Shizu died outside Rimuru's body, her soul has departed the world so technically Rimuru did not ate Shizu. Rimuru only ate the body, aka the vessel of Shizu's soul so if their concern is "she could've been reincarnated if she was not eaten," then the possibility of that scenario happening is still plausible considering her soul has passed away & not swallowed by Rimuru.

@@neoz1493 actually... Spoiler: Its Hinata not Chloe. There are 3 people involved in the time travel. Chloe the user, Hinata the one that are absorbed by Chloe, and Ruminas Valentine the Demon Lord. Hinata at some point died when Chronoa got unsealed. Child chloe turned into adult, absorbed Hinata and gone back in time. Met Rumina, become bestfriend. When the time for Chloe to be summoned, the time traveller Chloe disappear due to paradox but the memory will be stored in time spirit body Chronoa thus everytime Chloe time travel, she will retain the memory of her past. Hinata reborn and took over Chloe role. And the one shizu met is Hinata. (Explained in Light Novel v11)(Won't recommend reading Webnovel for the story is totally different the moment it reach v3. Anime and manga follow lightnovel).

Shizu's not dreaming inside Rimuru. For that to happen, Shizu must still be alive, but no. As you saw, Shizu died before being eaten by Rimuru. What Rimuru ate is simply the body & not the soul. The soul of Shizu is definitely somewhere else and that's why we saw her reuniting with her mom, she passed away. Rimuru only ate the body. Edit: The concern about how the adventurers acted nonchalantly by how their friend was eaten is acceptable, but we have to mind that Rimuru was hospitable towards them, Rimuru protected them from Ifrit & if you're gonna put it that way, If Rimuru ever harbored evil personality or is hostile towards the adventures he could've just let Ifrit burn them in. Considering those kind of thoughts, it is plausible on why the adventurers have easily accepted that Shizu wanted RImuru to eat her body. I mean it would be more weird to me if I was given hospitality, my life saved, and then I'm going to think negatively of the person who saved my life.

I love how slime storyline & details are connected to each other. When shizue died, her soul(magicule) already moved to the afterlife & there's no more chance on reviving her. The only thing that left is her body which Rimuru ate becuz Shizue don't wanna be one with this world Ellen & his friends being somewhat carefree about Rimuru ate their friend was part of their characters cuz we knew how the other person which will be shown later on that have different personality reacted to that fact. Nope, her soul was consumed. There's no other way to gain someone's skill if you don't have a skill capable of stealing someone's skill(and Rimuru doesn't have one, what Predator does is completely different). Unique Skill Degenerate was inscribed in her soul and the only way to get this was through consumption of her soul. He could recreate her personality, but that wouldn't be the same person.
