This is a real reason why you gotta create your own style of boxing if your coach isn't teaching you much more stuff you really need to know but yet teaching you what they only know then yes this is a go to because I'm learning waay more stuff than my past coach has taught me

Wow! You guys covered just about everything! Great video! I honestly cannot think of anything else. Maybe a combination of "zigzagging" and "stance switching." That's a classic Russian school method of cutting the ring off. Great video! 🤌

There does come a point where the attacker must get out of the line of fire. Many skilled boxers rely on aggressive fighters always being right in front of their hands. There is definitely a preference to not follow a guy's every move so they're always leading, but when my fighters get anxiety about a guy getting away I always tell them "if a fighter puts themselves in the ropes once then theyll always put themselves in the ropes. Don't worry about it." This way they arent afraid to attack at angles. Knock on the front door, go in the side door.

Thanks for your sharing, this it is a wonderful channel for whose loves boxing. I have a few questions for long time and would like for your comment. I see most of the amateur boxers used to pendulum jumping steps (just likely the "pulling" as the video shown), especially in the amateur competitions, whatever Aiba or Olymic, most of the amateur boxers would keep the jump steps in all 3 rounds. But it is not usually seen in professional boxers competitions. Is jumping steps only an old-school training method and not efficiency in modern boxing? Thanks Coach.
@McLeodScott4 жыл бұрын
Back when amatuer boxing was about scoring points this method was used far more. Now that amatuer boxing has changed to professional scoring you will notice a lot more fighters are set on their feet. I think in professional boxing there is a time and place to use pulling but it wouldn’t be useful for 12 rounds. A lot of lighter weights will still bounce in and out just to change their look and draw their opponent forward. For amatuer you can still have success with this style over the 3 rounds.

@@McLeodScott I asked this question to many coaches during my learing in boxing, in fact, nobody(in my city) can explained why, you are the first one could explain this clearly for me, thanks coach.
