I used to sell costume jewelry at the flea market, buying on ebay from India and China and wherever else such as the Tibetan style jewelry. I had a very beautiful assortment. Most were stamped 925 but it was really a silver plate over copper. People thought the silver was real because it wasn't magnetic but obviously, it's because copper in non magnetic and some venders would lie to the customers. I wore one of my rings for a week and it was very durable and polished up nicely but I never lied about the materials used. I wasn't very successful at selling this jewelry.

Thanks for your useful video But if you prepare for bigginer you forgot some important points 1_ how you calculate the ring lengh.as you describe well for width. 2_why necessory add the thickness 0.5 mm. 3_how you prepare plate for inside the ring without any fault.you know this step is so difficult for anyone. 4_Why you saw the second plate undernith of stone and why you saw like this? 5_ how you set bezel the stone 6_do you use only wool pad for polishing? 7_after polishing are there any steps before plating? 8_why do we use alum for cleaning the cooper?can we used the chemmical that clean the silver for cleaning copper? 9_ tools and the technical informations concerning this job Tnx
