Great question, If it was deactivated or no longer assigned to a registered user, I don't see why it wouldn't, as long as you download the app and register yourself.

How do you get the battery cover back off once it’s locked

There's a visual locking mark on the bottom of the base in white, you just twist it gently on and off to lock and unlock in place.

I can not unscrew bottom to replace battery. I see how easy you twisted off. ITS NOT WORKING? is there a screwdriver necessary Helppppp

Maybe the threads aren’t aligned properly. Did you look for the white locking and unlocking icon printed directly on the base? It kinda shows you which direction to twist it off.

How long does battery last?

It depends on your sensitivity settings. We have ours set at regular frequency for motion settings which is medium battery usage. Ours lasts maybe 2 months ish, but also have the additional battery option which helps out!

Have had that happen. Sometimes you have to clear cache in settings, or disconnect and reconnect to wifi. Or hold down the rest button on top for a good 30 seconds to reset.

Unless you have better, legal alternatives, sarcasm is not appreciated here. You spent time out of your day to belittle folks that may be searching for advice on the install, rather than bettering yourself and others; might want to rethink your priorities there buddy. I stumbled across this video while seeking reviews for the Cam Plus; while I didn't need the install directions, I'm still going to give props to the poster for actually providing assistance. Signed, Someone with 8 cameras, door/window sensors, and thanks Ring for providing a product that let me 'assist' two guys out of my yard while trying to steal from me at 3AM.

The point isn’t to stop them. It’s to identify who they are so you can give the police a better description. Some ppl will be deterred from stealing because of cameras. I just like many other ppl use these cameras for surveillance of other properties. It’s easy to check on your properties out of state or if you have businesses. Don’t be so closed minded for a relatively cheap home setup that can give ppl peace of mind too. But sorry to hear you got robbed. 🤣

You can set the sirens to go off which you can set on the camera through the app. I'm sure that will scare the crap out of them. They are pretty loud.
