I love seeing people react to barbershop. The sad thing is about this quartet is that Martin (The Bass) left. For a quick summary of what happened, the quartet was doing shows abroad more often, but Martin had a job at home and a baby girl to take care of. Since he couldn't be away a lot, they got another Bass to substitute for him whenever he couldn't go. Martin wanted them to make another group under a different name while still keeping Ringmasters intact (especially since not all of their shows were barbershop related). Sadly they didn't want to (it was all about money) and Martin left. It is so sad because you can truly hear of his absence in both their quartet and the AIC Chorus group that happens at the Barbershop Harmony Society (where a bunch of international champion quartets throughout the years come together and perform). There is something about his voice that is just so unique and so amazing that no one can replace him. Anyways, I loved your reaction and I hope you react to more Barbershop in the future! It seems like the best thing to do while being forced to stay home.

Oh wow! That's a crazy update on he group. Its rare to see prominent Acapella groups stay together for a long time. My appreciation for Barbershop comes from the 2 year experience I had and placed 3rd Place with my Chorus in the annual competition. Its really a heavenly experience. My reaction to it is the least I can do to pay tribute :) Thanks for the comment!

I was wondering what happened to Martin. I did not know that he had a child. Congrats Martin!

The "faux" ending hold for the tenor was 18 seconds, the very end was 22 seconds! AMAZING!! Right?

Love that fact that you started out your acapella reactions with Barbershop! Thanks for giving the old harmonies some love! Now try some Home Free. Try “Country Fried POP Medley” or “Man of Constant Sorrow”.

This was a great review of a phenomenal performance. I'd love to see you review a barbershop performance. This is The Westminster Chorus singing "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" at the Barbershop Harmony Society's international contest in 2015: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmLEdqiLfdCMpLs
