Am I the only who's glad that this was performed in different key? I mean I really love the remastered version but hearing this feels so refreshing.

The last chord goes from magical to celestial,like legit
@Auditas2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for being THAT guy, but both versions are in the same key. They both start in A major. This version ends a half step lower probably due to the comma pump effect (Adam Neely has a good video about it) or simply due to human imprecisions. The audio quality in the remastered version is significantly better

Tommy R What this video doesn’t get across the acoustic in that hall. Any chord would lock and ring in there. It’s a fantastic space.

The remastered version is the best audio, but there isn't a time seeing this performed I dont get chills. I dont have the musical background of the other commenters, so to my untrained ears this sounds incredible.
@alildaisy21804 жыл бұрын
This was the first piece of barbershop I ever heard, in 7th grade, so it’s safe to say I didn’t have an inkling of musical knowledge then 😂 it made me live music and I’ve grown since then, but I’m still fairly clueless to chords, but with everything new I learn, this becomes more and more amazing. So let me tell you, no shame, but this is incredible no matter where you’re coming from! And I mean every single part of it.

@@jasonfieler Question Would the fact they are supposed to be singing in an untempered scale have anything to do with the perception of flatness?
