I don't know if this was intended, but I like to think when they wrote the line "There is a Tempest in me" for Galadriel, they were thinking of Kate Blanchett and her "I have a hurricane in me" speech in Elizabeth: The Golden Age
@NovRen192 жыл бұрын
Brilliant point, and there is a very real analysis that this show is merely revamping multiple epic scenes from a plethora of films, and has no originality whats so ever. Excellent point, yet we say Hail Mary Queen of Scots o'er the bloody "b" queen.
@compareandcontrast98332 жыл бұрын
I think it was a more literal reference to how she destroyed Dul Guldur with an actual tempest but your is definitely more poetic.
@LuxLoser2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately it fell very flat for me. It felt like a try-hard line that wanted to be “epic” and instead became lame. Mostly because Galadriel is being just such a b*tch her entire stay in Numenor.

I agree, Halbrand as king of the mountain/dead men makes the most sense. Great reaction as always, I love this show so much.

(15:30) "His name is Tar-Palantír. Is he somehow involved with the creation of the Palantirils?" Answer: No. The Palantiri were created by Feanor. Feanor was the most powerful elf ever lived. He was an elf smith of Valinor who created the three Silmaril. The creation of the Silmaril was the starting point of the big story line of the first age. The whole book is called the Silmarillion. At the end of the first age two of the stones were destroyed. Only one remained and was given to Elrond's father, Earendil. Remember the story Elrond told to Durin about his father, in this episode? That evening star he was telling about, that's the last remaining Silmaril. So, why is Tar-Miriel's father called Tar-Palantír? His actual name was Inziladun. But his given kings-name was Tar-Palantír, because had the gift of foresight. Tar-Palantír means "the Farsighted" (in the elvish language Quenya). The Palantiri are the "seeing stones" . So, both names are just simular, because it's they are rooted in the same word. Tar-Palantír did not create the Palantiri, but Feanor did. Who was Galadriel's uncle. Addition: Feanor once asked Galadriel for three of her golden hairs. He wanted to craft their beauty into the Silmaril. But she refused his wish. That's the meaning behind the gift she gave to Gimli. Remember? Gimli told Legolas in the Fellowship of the Rings "I asked her for one hair from her golden head. She gave me three."

All you have said is right and objective ...... but (Feanor was the most ....) we could argue over this for months .... For me Feanor was truly the most talented for crafting, he was one of the most evil elves .... but more powerful i could name many stronger than him like his brother Fingolfin who was the only Elf who faced Morgoth 1x1 and almost beat him ... i could name many other badass elves like Echtelion and Glorfindel both killed balrogs (Maiar beings) ....
@MarieS6102 жыл бұрын
@@khalildhi I don’t think Fëanor was evil. But he most definitely was arrogant and proud and stubborn. He most of all allowed Morgoth’s whispering to infect his thoughts and motivations. But I don’t believe him evil

@khalildhi2 жыл бұрын
@@chriswerth918 yes totally …. Also Tolkien described Morgoth as mightiest …. Than he makes Tulkas beat the sht out of him at least twice … I mean if we believe the 3 Noldor brothers are strongest and mightiest … Finfarin never proved anything, Feanor proved everything but being the most badass in battle … while Fingolfin faced and injured a god and almost beat him.
