Thanks! It's off the cuff commentary, but I'm glad it's helpful!

Very glad you are doing these breakdowns to each ep, this season simply gets better and better! Ep2 touched upon some very interesting themes, art vs artist (are you aware of the concept of "death of the artist" in literature? when you do look at a work simply for what it is), responsibilities concerning your friends and family, guilt and atonement, etc. Sauron playing upon Celebrimbor´s ego and fears of an artist- never wanted to get my hands more on Sauron than in that moment.

Did you also get 'Jesus-vibes' when Annatar stepped out of the furnace, or was it just me? 😅

I thought it was more Lucifer-like? The flames, the light, the fallen bright angel...

I think it was an image Sauron created in Celebrimbor's mind, similar to what he did to Galadriel at the end of Season 1. For sure, he cannot give off light himself, unless it be fire.

@@eryniel95 I think it's both, and has to be both, really. When Sauron intends to deceive, he presents himself in "fair form," as Tolkien describes it. When Sauron first takes on this form, he's shown in a more humble way -- the clothes are undyed, homespun wool with a rope belt, his hair is a bit more scruffy, etc., definitely a "Jesus-vibe." With each episode, that deception starts to fall away -- the clothes become finer, the hair is longer and more carefully arranged, the rope belt becomes a golden sash...by the end he looks every inch an elven prince.

Awesome making a video walking on the forest in such a great summer weather! I like walking in the forest with my dog and have a talk with my dog about how to solve my next programming problem.

I was looking for a way to create content while doing some physical exercise at the same time and this worked for me!
