The moment when Celebrimbor cuts his thumb, sacrificing his craftsmanship, to escape both the physical and mental shackles that held him prisoner- plus, his speech to Galadriel was just so powerful. And Tolkien actually does show compassion towards the orcs when in The Silmarillion he talks about their corruption through Morgoth, and it was great this show addresses it.

I really enjoyed this second season It made me want to read LotR-Books and the other Stuff of Tolkien. I also just loved Sauron beeing evil and playing his game

Arondir's will to sacrifice comes from a place of loss of hope in my opinion. He needs to find hope to stay in the fight. (And that is all I will say, so not to spoil anyone who has not seen the season finale)
