Canucks back-check and zone coverage is brutal! They don’t eliminate players away from the puck and they’re too focused on positional play which results in lost puck battles and too slow on puck recovery and transitions - this is not a player issue - this is on the coaching staff!

Oh boy. They Shattenkirk'd that one.

100 point team that will get there in a wild way. Their plus/minus will hover around zero all season. Long winning streaks with streaky PP and PK. Injuries more than usual with next-man-up coming through. Take your BP medicine...it is going to be a ride!

Our Taiwan (NOT Mainland China!) pin has not been put on your map?!? I noted my listening after your first broadcast of the season... ???? Way to handle the solo-show, Jeff. It's a lot of talking! Cheers

He makes it feel worse than it is, like the game was bad but it's so early and we are above 500... so it's not a dumpster fire

This was Pettersson's best game this season and since the All Star Break, but one of the worst for most of the rest of the team. With the AHL 4th line it might have been a few days early to unload Sprong to Seattle. Feels like the old habit of playing their goalies to death might have caught up with them tonight, although the schedule has been pretty kind so far. It's what they did to DeSmith in the stretch last season. These kinds of home losses are kind of brutal, given the ticket prices getting jacked up.

poor drafting and bone head decisions by Benning really hurting now... imagine Matt Boldy and Dylan Guenther on the roster

Carter Hart is a free agent. Why the heck hasn't Canucks signed him yet..
@wainber12 күн бұрын
Hart likely would’ve received a qualifying offer from the Flyers or signed with a new NHL team by now had it not been for a criminal trial coming up on allegations that in June 2018, he participated, with four other members of the 2018 Canadian World Junior ice hockey team, in the sexual assault of a woman in a hotel room in London, Ontario. The possibility of being declared inadmissible to the United States, pending the outcome of the trial, would’ve been something the Canucks would’ve had to contend with had they chosen to sign Hart, with: - last preseason a game at Climate Pledge Arena against the Seattle Kraken - last month away games against the Bolts, Panthers, Flyers and Blackhawks - this month away games played in California, and later this month are scheduled to play against the Bruins, Pens and Sabres - next month away games against the Wings, MN Wild, Utah Hockey Club and Golden Knights - January away games against the Kraken, Caps, Canes, Blues, Preds and Stars - February away games against the Sharks, Knights, Utah HC, Kings and Ducks - March away games against the Kraken, Blues, NY Rangers, Devils, Isles and Blue Jackets - April away games against the Stars and Avs At least Lanky isn’t facing criminal charges although whether Arturs Šilovs will, in whatever next NHL start he gets, build upon having stopped all four shots he’d faced in the last near-nine minutes of the Canucks’ 7-3 loss to the Oilers, remains TBD.

Pettersson was very average, so to say he was the best canuck shows how off a night it was for the group.

What do you expect when the Dcore (outside of the first pair) is full of slow, physical guys that can’t move the puck?
