9 years and never flushed. Amazing it's still working. Maybe that area does not have as much hard water compared to around here.

This video just saved me at least $400 on this service!!! Thank you so much! D.I.Y. is way less painful than having a plumber come and stiff me for a quick hour to hour and a half job!!! Thanks again man!!!

Henry Macias Yup. Definitely “Stiffing you”. Because why should anyone make a livable wage but you. You’re a fuckin gonk

Rinnai tankless water heaters are very reliable. I worked for a hvac contractor who installed them 8 to 10 years ago. No warranty calls on them at all. No or very few repair service calls on them either. I never serviced many of them, just did the vinegar flush on a few. Good product.

We got a cracked heat exchanger. A slow drip when the hot water is in use. Luckily it was several months before the 10-year warranty expiry date. Bought a new one from an hvac company and installed it ourselves.

what's so easy about cutting the cold water line pouring peroxide in their letting it sit for an hour flushing it out 3 times after that and then hooking back up the water line when all you have to do is look up pump up to a tankless flush it with haymakers for 45 minutes and while you're waiting 45 minutes to take the burner out clean the burner and take a wire brush to the heat exchanger

Great video, definitely helped but I’m still having trouble. It a R75LSi and at times won’t keep consistent heat, water goes from hot to cold a few times. I replaced igniter and flame rod, clean vent, burner and heat exchanger. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for the great video. I followed your steps to clean burners(I was getting error 12). Heater worked for one day and now it shows error 11. Do you think it could be ignitor?

I blew out the blue corrosion dust and it killed my lungs and nose! I saw you didn't take out the blower either?? I did all what you did plus the blower and my blower was good. That night, my rinnia r75ls stopped heating again! I had to unplug it and turn it back on again. Now I'm at a loss. I had a code 10 before. Now nothing. Any ideas?

Does your owners manual have info for guidelines on servicing? Tried Rinnai online for support? Called your installer? Called Rinnai for tech support?

Why do I keep seeing installs with the gas valve in that position? After the union and on the tankless? No drip leg? Amateurs.

Listen to your video a couple of times and went ahead with cleaning the burner and exchanger. I would like to add that the powder found in the burner and exchanger is very irritating. Be sure to wear a mask and glasses. If not you might be coughing your lungs out for an hour or more. (happened to me) The good news is no more code 10.

Never again!!!!! Get one if you enjoy complicating your life! I’ll spend the whopping $25 extra in energy costs to run a NORMAL tank dead reliable hot water heater. I have wasted my time and money on several different makes and models and they all suck!!! I especially love it when the electricity goes out mid shower and the water immediately goes cold, my wife loved that one! If your going to torture yourself with one of these miserable units at least go for the standing pilot unit. I have both and at least those don’t leave you in the cold. Unfortunately I designed my hot water heater cabinet for these darn things so in order to go back to a reliable tank heater it’s a lot of work. Hopefully this reaches someone who’s on the fence about purchasing a tankless and it pushes them to go with a tank water heater.

Tankless water heaters are great, especially this one. You probably paid someone who didn't know what they were doing or you didn't have annual maintenance

i have read enough youtube and twitter videos to have installed high eff boiler and kept old cast iron boiler hooked up. turn three valves hot water back on turn 4 more heats back and i can wait for service on Sat christmas eve at triple time. I cant imagine how much propane will be this winter.

another reason why I decided not go to tankless. It's simple as pie to flush out a conventional tank.

@@michaeljr678 tankless cost way more then tank type, to me not worth the money, very little gas savings
