Dude why did you wipe it dry...that kinda defeated the test...It would of been nice if you rinsed it and let it dry by it self and see if any water spots showed.
@atm4jim4 жыл бұрын
I didn't trust it enough I guess. I have tried a few areas and it does work. But If you don't wash it well, it will leave "dirty" spots, though not water spots which are very hard to remove so it does what I want.

If he's using the same system I am, there will be no water spots weather you wipe it or not. If you test the water and it has 0 tds your good to go
@Magicinstalls3 жыл бұрын
I went with the CR spotless system. Only a couple of hundred more, but you will get Way more washes. The expensive part is the resin. You can’t get away with out that stuff no matter which one you choose…

Helps very little, with respects to this "testing" the unit, when you wipe it dry. However, I bought this wash system and refrained from wiping down my automobile and I did not see one hard water spot. The key is making sure that you wash thoroughly to remove all contaminant, and rinse thoroughly as well. It's definitely a good unit. The good thing as that you can buy bulk resin and refill the bags yourself. I found about 13 lbs. of resin for under $100, and that will refill at least 4 of these resin bags. Good product!

Thank you! I totally agree about having to do a good job washing off the dirt else you will have "spots" afterwards. Though at least not water spots which are 20x harder to remove especially on dark color cars. I probably should have let it dry naturally without wiping to test. But the main reason I got this is for avoiding water spots on areas that collects even with wiping and when washing on warm weather with a little bit of sun when I don't wipe fast enough. Thank you for the info about the bulk resin. That's the other reason I got this, the lower price comparing to the competitions.

So instead of buying replacement resing bags at $40 each you purchased bulk resin and refill your existing bags? Where did you find the resin?
@jamesfrazier31853 жыл бұрын
@@Volfan812 Yes, the replacement resin bags that go with my Wash N Go system are around $47-$50 per 4lbs. bag. Griot’s Garage sells a 13lb. bag of replacement resin for $95. That’s 3 bags worth of resin for under $100.

@@atm4jim You're doing it right bro. I use the CR spotless system, same as yours only more capacity. It's the only way to go spot free. I'm currently using an inline filter in front of it to see if I can make the resin last longer. That stuff is expensive AF!

did this thing last a good time or it broke after a while? good review thanks for sharing. And I love your 911 i hope you still have it taken care of.
@ragnarocking3 жыл бұрын
LOL - _I wiped it anyways_ - I'm curious if you can just save the resin wash for only the rinsing part, instead of for the initial soaking. E.g. if I just sprayed the car with plain water, scrubbed it with soap, then used the resin wash for only the final rinse. It would save on resin ($100 is a little expensive), IMO.
@atm4jim3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's highly recommended to prolong the life of the resin by using it only during final rinse and thus saving you money. I agree, it's pricey but it's the less expensive deionizer that I could find. You really have to wash it really well to avoid leaving "spots" on a dark color car which is why even now, I still use a cordless leaf blower and wipe it afterwards. I got this to avoid water spots which are hard to remove.

So if you use this system as a final rinse would that work to not have water spots show up? Or do you need to wash the vehicle with the system from start to finish?
@barrybij80795 жыл бұрын
Just washed my dark blue car... in direct sun spotted like crazy even in October
@atm4jim5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I would avoid direct sun if possible, though the deionizer should prevent that. But you can still get spots from pollen and stuff in the air during washing and also from incomplete washing. For example, I hate washing my car so I tried skipping that step and did a rinse only, but it left some light blotches of dirt afterwards that wasn't removed during the rinse. Something to keep in mind, but still better than leaving water spots which are extremely difficult to remove.

Is it worth it for a mobile detailing
@atm4jim3 жыл бұрын
Yes, on situations you're not able to wash under shade and washing under direct sunlight and you have hard water.
@Bob_Lob_Law3 жыл бұрын
If you are doing mobile detailing. Get a reverse osmosis system. You won't need expensive resin replacemnts. Only drawback is the small units do 75 to 150 gallons per day. You will need a storage tank to accumlste this production. Also it will put 80+% of the water down the drain as waste. But no resin, and perfect water. Enough for multiple washes per day.

How does one tell if the filter needs to be replaced
@ragnarocking3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the TDS reading (that blue stick he was dipping in the water was the included TDS meter.)

Can this be left outside? Will it handle sun and being rained on?
@atm4jim4 жыл бұрын
Manual says store in 40-100F degrees and not to let the resin dry out. Leaving it out in the sun might dry out the resin depending on how often you use it. There are rubber/plastic caps to the water inlet/outlet that you use when storing it.

How is this bad boy holding up, also have you used with your SunJoe PW?

So far so good, but I've haven't been using it much lately. I've been taking my daily to the drive thru and haven't driven my toy car much during the winter. And yes, works fine with the PW.

No hand drying needed. So you hand dry it anyway. Do you realize the only reason people watch this is to see if there are spots without hand drying?

Owner's manual says about 10 rinses depending on your water hardness.
