Leave in conditioner was an ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER in my life!!! Wish I'd heard of it YEAR'S AGO! For my hair type, severely dehydrated dry grass, brittle and extreme breakage...the CREAM leave in conditioner worked best, not the liquid:)

@SuhannaDeSilva2 жыл бұрын
You may be using a leave in that’s too heavy on emollients or you might have low porosity hair but the former is more common than the latter.

A very newbie question I know- but how does deep conditioners fit into this mix? Does it have to be a certain kind of conditioner to be a deep conditioner or will like a mask do the job? Also after you clarify/shampoo should you use a rinse- out conditioner and deep conditioner and then also add a leave in? Seems like a lot. Probably a really silly newbie question sorry but I’m just confused by all the different conditioners! ❤️
@SuhannaDeSilva5 жыл бұрын
Hair masks usually are deep conditioners! If you’re clarifying I’d recommend using your deep conditioner first, then clarifying and follow up with your rinse out and leave in. I know it’s a lot of steps and you don’t have to do them all every wash day, but on days you clarify definitely make sure you’re using a deep conditioner before your actual clarifying treatment.

I have tyoe 4 hair and I have that same leave in conditioner, I don't have any regular conditioner tho. I was wondering if I'd be able to use this leave in as a rinse out? The ingredients seem like they'd be good for a rinse out conditoner.

I have this leave-in conditioner I have mixed hair wavy/curly hair (2a 2b) but it makes my hair more straight . Why??🥺 it is to heavy for my hair?
@djettesmita4 жыл бұрын
I too found this product weighing down some of my curls n I noticed that some of my hair went greasy after drying. Since so many people rave about this product I think I may have applied way more than needed so gonna make some ammends as it was an expensive buy so gotta make it work..Try STC technique while using this n use it moderately n see if it helps.
@josi_o4 жыл бұрын
If you have thin hair, avoid all these heavy products, they will weigh your hair down and the curls get weird, like straight, loose patern. You have to go for "lightweight" products and a good hold (gel or mousse) so your waves/curl can hold better. I have 3a, my hair is thin and I can not use all these heavy products, with too many heavy oils, cause my curls tend to get more "straight".

I can't find a good silicone free leave-in here in Austria that's not stupidly expensive. I did find a very light conditioner, though, and I've been using that. Do you think it will make much a difference?
@SuhannaDeSilva5 жыл бұрын
You can mix your conditioner with water in a spray bottle and use it as a leave in between washes, you just won’t be able to squish to condish after your regular rinse out conditioners and you’ll have to reapply it more since it’s not meant to be left in your hair for an extended period of time
@josi_o4 жыл бұрын
I think it's really late this comment, but garnier fructis (food line) got some products that you can also use as leave-in, and they got the "air dry" aloe vera leave-in conditioner, 5 € so so. The brand "Noughty" has good products and I think they are not so expensive, from 5 to 9 € I bought them on FeelUnique website. In Müller they are selling more products curly friendly, they got Cantu and it is less than 10€, same in BIPA and DM.

What's the difference between a rinse out conditioner and a deep conditioner? Do you apply deep conditioner before the shower and then rinse it out? Or do you wash your hair and apply the deep conditioner and then leave the shower and come back to rinse it out later?
@SuhannaDeSilva5 жыл бұрын
The main difference is that rinse out conditioners are formulated with concentrations of ingredients that are not meant to be left on the hair for an extended period of time where as the concentrations used in deep conditioners are meant to be left on the hair longer and then rinsed out. Deep conditioners penetrate the hair shaft to deposit ingredients which is why they’re left on longer. Both should be rinsed out.
