Too bad the great Neil Adams (former world champ and renowned judo commentator) refers to the Canadian, Bouchard, as "Beauchamps" during the entire match. You would expect that he would at least get the athlete's name right.

taller fighters arnt as co ordinated and normally have a lesser life span due to the body having to work at a harder rate.

Ygdrevik Molkonov that is true in judo. Long legs will help in foot sweeps and long arms will help to secure a grip. Of course you have to work on your physique and technique and be very careful when on the ground.

There are upsides and downsides to both. Taller means more area for muscle attachment, so more strength generally. However, in case of judo taller also means higher centre of gravity, which could perhaps be a disadvantage.
