I cant believe they decided to put some finals in the middle of heats and qualification sessions, specially when the Olympic Stadium was far away from Olympic Park or any other competition venue. It was embarrasing to see a final with so many empty seats, but that was hardly a surprise, since not many people will pay expensive tickets to watch heats and usually one "field" gold medal session. That was also bad for night session, because the public who wanted to visit the stadium and see some track&field gold medal competition was basically splited into two sessions.
@oxy60827 жыл бұрын
The Olympic Park was far away from every venue too, I went, everything was super spread out. Only Beach Volleyball was IN rio, everything else was atlas an hour commute to get to any other event, and the tickets weren't expensive, I think it was the whole Ebola thing that scared people off, and the way tickets are sold in general is kinda fucked. London was the same way, I don't know about the conditions though for that day, I saw a track event there, and it was just off the subway, probably an hour away, wasn't as bad of a walk as the Olympic Park, which was probably a mile of walking just to get there. London was easier, I go to all the summer games but this was only my second Olympics my only complaint is that the food was absolutely horrid to the point where they were letting people bring in food. They also were running out of food by like day three, it was absurd.

@EmporioMagellan28 жыл бұрын
taylor was too tensed up, he jumped way too aggressively in order to break the WR. In all of his +18m jumps he is way more relaxed. also he loses a lot of speed because he really wants the distance in the hop, you can see that clearly in the 5th jump
@mh0Ang958 жыл бұрын
True in that 5th jump he definitely rushed the hop. But essentially he's not tense at all really. And his priority isn't the hop either. He's trying to carry the maximum speed he can handle into the jump. What separates him from any jumper today is that he is the fastest of of everybody. 10.3-10.4 100m speed. 20sec 200m and his best 400m was almost a 44 back when he was in college...
