Imperio Serrano Samba School in 2013 performed a great Official Technical Rehearsal. The final rehearsal dated Sat 5th, 2013, at Rio Carnival ´s Sambadrome. Samba dancers were cheered by the crowd. Press stated in general terms that its rehearsal was equivalent to the power and singing harmony to most of the samba groups that compose the Elite Group of the samba-schools in Rio, called "Grupo Especial" ( Special Group)
Império Serrano is an extremely traditional samba school in Brazil, having won nine Carnival Titles on the Premier League, but after a terrible parade in 2009, was relegated to what is called today the "A Group", one below the Special Group. In 2013, the parade theme selected by Império was called "Caxambu - O milagre das águas na fonte do samba", and they obtained the third place.
Also worth noting that in 2012, the samba school was Vice Champion, and almost made it to the Special Group. This traditional- samba school was founded in 1947 and that it still holds many samba songs that are considered "classics". Império Serrano Samba School colors are green and white and reflects Brazil´s “old school” carnival. It looks like they will be ready too for the Rio 2014 Parade.

I was very happy Marty with the energy and vibe of this samba -school. It is called Imperio Serrano ( you can look it up on Wiki ) and it is truly legendary....deeply rooted in the Brazilian Carnival history... It was emotional in several moments...thankfully God graced me w/ the opportunity to be there...I shot overall 13 videos...all thebest my friend!
