🔥🔥 Samba Dance: Samba Dancing at the Brazilian Carnival

Rio samba dance and Belly Dance are different dances, but similar in many ways. The Brazilian Carnival samba Dancer and belly dance are both sensual and are extremely enticing. Samba dance is faster, more energetic, vigorous, but enchanting too. Belly Dance is more mysterious, delicate, and very difficult to master.

We have received many emails from the Belly Dance community from Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, and other countries and they attested that there are indeed some similarities, though Samba Dancer is more energetic in the sense it is faster, while belly dance is calmer, needs a higher degree of internal concentration, and abdominal control. It is more mysterious too.
Nevertheless, a perfect Brazil Carnival Samba dancer requires Coordination with Rio samba drums, the chanting has to be heard, the constant smile, physical strength ( since the parades last for more than one hour), class, and most of all, charisma.

I was going to come to Brazil for world cup, but my mother passed away and i canceled plans. I wanted to see Croatia vs Brazil. I have been in Cartagena, cali, in Colombia and been there in carnivals. Exotic people, very friendly, great food, great weather. Colombia its truly a heaven. I want to see the carnival in Brazil which is like 20 times bigger than the colombian one. I can't wait. I love brazil and football, but Go Croatia this time :) don't be mad because you going to lose.

I have witnessed both country's Carnival. While Trinidad can put on a show, Brazil wins the Carnival wars handsssss dowwwnnn. It's hella crazy in Rio when I went there. Ah I miss that place so much. Te amo Brasil!

Samba is so beautiful and passionate, like bellydance! :-) I agree, they are similar in the sense that in both dances, the abdominal region is used a lot. The biggest difference I would say though, is not in the pace, but in where the muscle isolations are made in each dance. Thanks for sharing a great video, and for your friendship.

Apart from being free, there are no "ropes" like in Bahia Trios Eletricos, where you have 500 security people to protect the people that pay...of course you can be out of the ropes, but it´s very different since you get far from the sound..I went there for 7 yrs and can tell you. Now, the "hype" are the "VIP boxes"...costing a small fortune...Another plus for Rio since there are 440 "blocos", you can imagine how diverse they are....this is a beauty, since each has each nature / style. Cheers!
