Arigatougozaimasu, Rion, for this very enjoyable travel adventure to Hakone. The shrine was so beautiful, and the tall trees lining the path to the shrine were sugoi. The Torii gate overlooking the lake was spectacularly scenic. I hope to be able to visit there one day. ⛩🌼

Hi Rion!!! Oh... to have to change your room in the middle of the night is such a hassle and a nightmare 😢 I'm so sorry you had to go thru that on your birthday! But look on the bright side... I bet you won't forget this birthday experience 😅 And also, you looked so cute in your glasses 🤓 I too wear contact lenses and my glasses at night! 😂 The dinner buffet looked amazing and can't wait to see the breakfast one cuz that's my favorite thing to do is have a breakfast buffet in Japan! 😊❤

Hi Rion! For your next birthday, you may want to consider Ubuya at Fujikawaguchiko. Every room has a direct view of Mt Fuji and some rooms also have the in-room private bath. The staff will also celebrate your birthday for you during your dinner time. 😊

No doubt, Hakone is nice place to visit, as evrywhere recommeded. The nature and the lake sceneries are special. So is the shrine surrounded with old and high trees reminding me of sequoias. The pirate ship was really interesting and the whole trip was comfortable..The hotel is obviously a fancy one and nicely sitated overlookinG the lake. By the way I liked so much you wearing that yukata, for It really suits you well, but it seems that you prefer darker colours. The variety of the dinner menue choices was stunning, so everything must have been delicious. The outside bath seemed to be relaxing after the long day of travelling and sightseeing. It is sad that you had to change the room late at night while being so tired and sleepy. It is really inconvenient, but things like that sometimes might happen, although I guess not often at such a luxury hotel. Lovely and informative video as usual. Looking forward to the next one. GAAOOO....

Aloha and otanjoobi omedetoo! Another year wiser. Thank you for another great video. Your hotel was reasonably priced including 2 meals. I might consider staying there with my Ohana (family) next time. Sorry you got a bad room 💩the first time but at least they changed you to a better room. I stayed at the Fujiya hotel the first time I went to Hakone several years ago. It was a nice, classic hotel from maybe Taisho era. It reminded me of the Moana on Waikiki beach. One of the staff was a manager trainee from its sister hotel in Hawaii. They have an exchange training program. I stay up way too late binge watching your super interesting videos! Looking forward to part 2! Cheers!

It is a shame they did not check the room the first time you called but glad it was checked and sorted in the end. The view was really nice I might have to put Hakone on my itinerary.

Happy birthday! I loved Hakone last year. Hope to see you eat some black eggs and ice cream on the next video! Also can't believe you waited so much before pushing for them to change your room, that's some Japanese culture right there! I don't think the staff reacted well to your problem. The moment you called they should have gone to check your room, not tell you something about sulphur without knowing. For the price I would expect better service.
