Raw beef can be amazing if you get the good quality stuff. Some places have some lower standards, which can be cheaper but you really need to cook it. Steak tartare is the western classic but I've tried Beef Tataki (which isn't quite raw but close enough) with a raw egg yolk. It was delightful.

We are sure they can accommodate to a non speaker, it is a bit far from the station since it is surrounded by such amazing nature, so taking a taxi there would make it the easiest. Otherwise, you can also just consider a long walk there:)

In the soy shake portion, you mentioned lactose intolerance. Are a lot (most?) Japanese lactose-intolerant? Is this accurate? I heard a large portion of the Asian population is lactose-intolerant, but I see a ton a milk products consumed in Japan. Are Japanese dairy products normally include the removal of the lactose? Lastly, does that soy shake also have milk? Thanks for the enjoyable video!

I've actually been to the tiramisu shop and the restaurant by the river. They soft serve and was super grainy and icy. Absolutely terrible. I regret going there. I only went in because I was waiting for the bus. At Kawakado, maybe the beef you got was cooked fresh because there were cameras. But the gyunabe we had was pre-cooked, overcooked and dry. That yam and egg is sickeningly gooey. It's also very bland. I'm sorry to say, this channel's credibility, and Shizuka's has gone down.
