I honestly cringed when i saw the nerf. 50% wr is not bad. She is not a difficult champ to pick up and she has a new mechanic that people aren't used to. She was supposed to counter the meta and be bad into long rage match ups. Everyone plays meta champs into her, mindlessly dashing all over the place because they got so used to abusing their infinite mobility, they get punished, finally, they lose, and inflate her win rate. And despite having had a fucking year of only yas yone irelia and ad assassins, she gets nerfed legit 24hs in..i don't understand why they really fucking hate mages. there is not a single slayer/assassins that isn't super meta or incredibly valiable yet most mages are actually trash tier and have been the entire season bar one week in pre

If the meta were just xerath, viktor, ori, anivia i am sure she would have had a 45ish wr. But the meta is all dashes and people who abuse those dashes without thinking about it...so she wins..doesn't seem that complicated. Also why was she immediately nerfed? I had to deal with samira and aphelios for quite a while. Yone and ak are still broken. Where is the same rush?

If you go to lolalytics, the only fucking service of these that's worth using thanks to having the sample size openly available unlike other services idiots use like op *cough*. She had a 58% win rate in Diamond+ on the 23rd. And 56% on the 24th. And now she's sitting on a 53% win rate in Korean Challenger. Here's the catch though. That's only out of 115 games played on the champ. The amount of challenger games with any particular champion is absurdly low, even when you look at it globally. If you want to know how "good" a champ is, it's better to pull from a larger pool. I.E. Diamond or Masters. When we go Korean Diamond, we see Vex currently has a win rate of 49.50%. When we go Korean masters, we see Vex currently has a win rate of 50.36%. Mind you, the average win rate of champs in Masters is 53%. So even though you're looking at a 50% win rate, that's still vastly under performing a large quantity of champs in Korean masters. Which gets into the final catch. All of these stats. The pick rates, ban rates, win rates. All of them have context. Like if we're going to talk about Vex's 58% challenger Korean win rate before, are we going to ignore Rumble mid's 61% win rate in Korean Masters? The stats argument is so silly. You just pull the stats and then start arguing a particular point, and you can make those stats fit whatever point you want to make as long as you're willing to cherry pick enough. And it's even worse when you use challenger stats. Because you're inherently picking from the smallest pool of players possible, that are the best possible with any given champ, on a brand new champ that was built to be a counter to the current meta dominant champs. She *SHOULD* have had a 58% win rate in Korean challenger. She would've been something they'd pick if they saw Yasuo, since she's the most obvious answer and she's new so they need to learn her. I'm convinced, if Riot gave it a few more days without a nerf, her win rate would've normalized on its own, but probably a bit over 50%. Say 51%. Which is still way less than Qiyana, Yasuo, Talon, Riven, Katarina, and Rumble.

Vex isn't a blind pick champion, she's should be reserved as a counterpick or locked in when you know you can safe scale in lane. I think that's the champ design that Riot went for. IE if your lane is safe and the enemy has multiple dash's, lock her in. I think what people tend to forget about league is this game isn't built around having 1 champ in your champ pool, you need a diverse range depending on circumstances. A nice safe blind pick, couple flex/counters, etc.

See, the thing is. She isn’t even necessarily good into dash champs? The passive proc effectively acts as her way to keep some consistent damage going when her cooldowns are down, but most dash champs I can think of will still kill her faster. She really needs her fear and abilities to do anything to them, and most have sustain or shields so she can’t even burst them.

If the enemy has dashes it’s unlikely a safe lane because those are usually assassins. I think you just need to learn how to scale effectively and stay safe in lane kind of like a kassadin would because her mid game seems really strong

I dunno if its true or not but I saw a vid they made about Korean challenger playing vex. They utilized her kit by not going on the offense but only use their abilities when the enemy start the trade, cuz it will be more easy to land abilities. Plus they start E at lvl 1 cuz E Auto + Auto(Passive + electrocute) is great at using to trade/poke and to get ur fear back.

I personally see Vex as a champ design that fits old League where most champions would not 2 shot you and have insane mobility, freaky items and abilities, she's really simple. Her damage is also a bit oldschool, she doesn't really delete anyone unless she's fed and her powerspike is on 2nd item which is a bit late. She's rly fun and can do some awesome things i really like this design style and i wish most champions would be like this.

Vex ult is like pyke ult, the cooldown starts from the last time you use it. So if you don’t need to use it, don’t use it and it will time out and be on a lower cooldown

the problem with her is that you have no hope of getting kills before lvl 6, unless your jungler carries you, pr your enemy is in wood league. After lvl 6 if you are not too behind, after some poke dmg you can all in squishier targets. I laned against quinn on top, and she could do nothing if i hit all my skills. But overall vex all in burst is not enough to be an assassin mage, and her basic abilities are too easy to dodge to poke reliably

I personally like her right now. I don't have an issue with the long fear cooldown since you can easily reset your fear on a minion wave with E+Q, and since I build a lot of ability haste anyways I will have those 2 abilities up again really fast. She is more of a spam/poke champ like that to me, and it works out for me.

Her win rate is almost identical in plat + to what it is in all other ranks, she's actually fairly balanced but still a little on the weak side. If she's needing a buff it needs to be something extremely small.

Put another way, if Vex is just as good as any other mage and gets to do all her ulti-roaming, self-peeling, dash countering, why even play any other mage? Imagine a world where mage players got what they wanted, Vex would now be pick or ban, AND she'd be an assassin herself. Just because a champion doesn't have an answer to every champion, doesn't make them weak...it just means she isn't a Lux/Morg clone.

Thanks as always Pekin, always entertaining watching your vids. I was actually looking forward to OTPing her, I actually feel as though she was pretty balanced. I took her to Masters ELO and she's garbage, that Q dmg nerf was the killer. She's only playable on the smurf. She was well-rounded from my personal perspective. Now she's lackluster. Unless you play DH/Liandry's for scaling. Her passive and Q were her bread and butter. Now she's useless and I might as well play Anivia at this point. Hah... Yeah, I'm not that fucking retarded. Vex is a lot stronger vs talon then the others you mentioned his lvl 2 spike vs ori for example ori would loose all in. I think vex is strong but as any champ has loosing and winning lanes. Maybe the hotfix nerf was a bit much but her kit is really strong

I've been playing Vex support and have been seeing quite a bit of success with her. She synergizes well within ADCs like Jhin, Samira, and Aphelios, and is a nice counter for hard engage supports.

The combo i always try to go for is Empowered E to guarantee a Q hit. Her E is the easier of the two ranged abilities to hit so leading with that makes her Q much easier to land.

My opinion on her is in the super high elo's btw like GM and Challenger. Every champ can be played in D1 and carry. It's just that her simplicity in the highest elos (By this I mean her kit cannot punish players who do not go into her) will make her basically not a meta pick unless her damage is buffed in my opinion, we shall see though

Comet has a lower cooldown, and opens up sorcery tree, Manaflow band + Transcendence + Scorch is better than what domination tree can offer. If you activate comet with a fear or an E, it's guaranteed to hit

She's terrible. She's weak and predicable in lane. She has VERY little outplay potential with no early dashes, CC you can time if you are paying attention, poor self-defense (just a small shield), and zero utility. She's not a control mage, she's not a burst mage, she's not an assassin, she's not a DPS mage; she has aspects of ALL of those kits without having an actual theme. She can kinda-burst, but she has to dash in like an assassin to do so. She can kinda-CC, but she has to build it up with abilities first. She's just weird and not very effective. She's one of those champs that sometimes does well despite itself, but usually is just awful.

i started thinking of stop playing lol after riot made the new items since they are buffing all ad champs vs ap ... so i give the game a chance and started playing vi my S5 champ ... and that did not work for me at all .... then j4 ... but then i saw the emo king and his ult and BUGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and told my self ... if the new champ get a reset on his ult ... i am quiting .... the funy part is i stoped playing the game before this emo queen coming up... and now i understand that this game is shit and i am thanking god and my luck for not buying any skins after the candy eve skin ... and i did not remove the game from my pc ... to keep it a reminder for me to never buy somethings like skins from games that won't support a solo player experiance . + dealing with my old boss is easyer than dealing with the "humans" in this game.

I went through his stream VODs cuz I know who ur talking about and found 1 game, guess he plays it off stream. Maybe there is a playstyle that is strong. But idk I watched his game and she definitely once again looked like just a weaker version of any other control mage, Ori Viktor Syndra etc.

@@PekinWoof I haven't watched to much of him lately because an exam is coming up. But he tries to play her every game, but she's usually always banned. What I have seen is that he definitely doesn't go for liandrys but trys to go for one shot build. And mosty has a zhonyas second or third item. He's then capable of one shotting half their team after 25 minutes, even when he was behind in lane
