It took me a few watches to catch this, but notice how Riot maintains the duality of Kindred. First death (Aatrox) is a violent kill by wolf, and we see lamb in the fire. Second kill (Yasuo) is a swift kill by lamb, and we still see wolf in the treeline. And obviously, we see them together at the end trying to claim Tryn. Even if one is doing the job, they're both there

The animation has 3 parts one is based in the past (Kayle and Morgana vs Aatrox) the present (Tryndamere and Ashe vs randoms) and the future (old man yasuo) Kindred just shows all the lore events where a character dies or almost dies in the past Aatrox gets killed, in the present Tryndamere is constantly fighting off death and in the future Yasuo dies

Great explanation except for one thing. Aatrox cannot die. He was simply sealed within his sword once again. We see that after he was defeated lamb just stood there and watched him from the fire.

@@Lurzhanrus yeah you could look at it like that, my only problem with that is that lamb didn't do anything unlike all the other times she showed up too collect somebody. She just stood there and watched so that's why I think it's from Aatrox pov and we know he can't die.

Ok so here's the interpretation before you see the necrit video! It's a video about 3 scenes that deal with death (duh) It's important that we know that Lamb sends a merciful arrow for someone that accepts his death, while Wolf will hunt you down if you don't accept it. 1 - Aatrox, ma boy is a darkin and cannot die, when he "Dies" his soul goes into his weapon and he lives in a perpetual state of nothingness untill the blade is picked up again, so he wants to destroy everything and everyone because he wants, but cannot, die. So we see morgana and kyle duking it out with him, after getting knocked down morgana puts their mother's blade down and channels her divine magic, kayle being the one that always looks up at her mother looks at her in disdain After kayle sends divine flames, we can see aatrox body disappearing, but the sword is still there, and we can briefly see the Lamb in the flames looking at him, we don't see wolf, I see it as a way to say that Aatrox really wants to accept his death, but he smply cannot die. 2 - Grandpa yasuo after a life of killing left and right with his wind technique is obviously reluctant to pick up the sword and pass wind, but he does, we also notice that he doesn't kill the baddies, he just knocks them down, in fact is possible that when he notices the rain of arrows coming, he sends a tornado to push the baddie boss out of the way, because he noticed he didn't have an umbrella. Then he COULD wind wall, but we see the shadow of Wolf staring, so yasuo's final moment finally came, and we see the lamb arrow putting an end to it! It's also fun to speculate that since wolf was also there, using the wind wall would have signified a refusal to accept death and a consequent hunt? 3 - My boy tryndamere is the embodiement of "Man literally too angry to die" and it's thanks to Aatrox, but it's a long story. Anyways, he's on the point of death and lamb is already stalking, but my dude refuses to die so he fights on! Now what i like about this scene is that yes he is refusing to die so Wolf is attacking, but also Lamb sends two arrows, so for me it also shows a duality in Tryndamere, maybe there is a side of him that wants to accept his final moment, but his undying rage fueled by aatrox's blood magic almost forces him to fight the literal embodiement of death? Anyways he fights long enough that his hot Targarian wife shows up to save him and call some help, and we see that it's probable that the whole fight with Kindred was happening in his head while in reality he was fighting baddies, BUT one of Wolf's attack damaged his shoulder pad, and we see the damage even when kindred "disappeared" Anyways, sorry for the wall of text and bad grammar, I don't always comment, I lurk more than anything on this channel, but i'm a really big fan of yours! Kindred is the (current) personification of death, their job is to take people at the end of their lives. If people accept their death, like Yasuo they're killed quickly by Lamb's arrow. If they fight death then they face wolf, who cares more for the hunt than mercy. In this video when Tryndamere's eyes go red that's him using his ult to avoid death and him fighting off Kindred is actually him fighting off the people close to killing him and only when Ash turns up and saves him at the last second does Kindred vanish as Tryndamere is no longer about to die and therefor no longer their quarry.

Necrit made a wicked breakdown of everything in the cinematic, you should watch it for very deep nuance. I thought it looked weird how there was no blood even on the close up of Yasuo's slashes but apparently he isn't killing anyone just knocking them over with the wind, and the tornado at their leader is actually supposed to save him from the rain of arrows, after which Yasuo refuses to use another wind wall we saw he's still capable of doing, the Lamb's arrow marking his end. Also you can see the wolf in the trees, his eyes and the pine trees shaped like his ears. Really sweet stuff.

That moment when Tryndamere realizes it's Ashe who's coming out of the darkness is terrifyingly well animated. If it turned out that this was done by a real life actor, and they simply added CGI all around it... I'd be tempted to believe it.

The thing about "old man yasuo" is that its kinda said in the description of the video. Basically kindred is saying "WE ARE EVERYWHERE AND ANYTIME" kayle and morgana defending and ancient fort that would become damacia happened in the past, kindred fights tryndamere in the present, and old man yasuo possibly takes place in a dystopian future, necrit thinks that yasuo left ionia for some reason or that noxus finally went nuclear amd destroyed ALL of the ionian continent and displaced ionians all over the world. If thats the case, then Old man yasuo would be very similar to the old man logan comic where an "old man" wolverine swore of violence and using his claws. He chose to live as a farmer with his wife and 2 kids until "bad stuff" forces him back to his old ways.

Something cool to note is they have added a new nemesis quest that activates in a Tryndamere vs Kindred game at level 11. The objective is for either to kill the other soon after the other has ulted.

I see it as more of when in a life threatening situation people may sometimes have a choice to face Kindred directly. The original danger is still there and the confrontation with Kindred happens as a parallel event. When they finish their MMO I would love if you could res at a designated point or have a clash with Kindred to res where you fell. Group activities could have downed players fighting Kindred while waiting for their team to raise them.

This cinematic make me intrigued if all celestial powered beings can channel in their power chains maybe due to a relation to chaining up technically Asol or due to more of simpler reason he based his attack due to morgana chaining him up I belive that kindred's arrows cannot go through materials due to their inert and unliving nature but of course will go through flesh but it seems the wolf can bite and chew through that if the victim resists

Kyle and Morgana are shown in the past, which is why Morgana can fly and you can see the beginning of their division. Morgana uses earthly power, and kayle gives her the most disgusting side eye I've ever seen before evoking the angelic power. Yasuo is shown a possible future that ends in his death, the wolf shows first expecting him to fight against it but he closes his eyes to accept his death and lambs arrow comes out instead. Tryndamere shows the present, his ultimate is Undying rage which makes him unkillable for a short time. So his is the extreme of the Kindred experience, this also implies that any time try is forced to ult he fights Kindred. Though when we see the bodies it's clear that his strikes were actually hitting the real enemy in the waking world. Which was an extremely cool detail, when ashe saves his life he exits the border of death and Kindred vanishes leaving only ashe. You can also see the moment the "mark" leaves Tryn, right before ashes arrows come past Kindred she lowers her bow. All in all an extremely well done cinematic, I just wish they were more willing to show wounds as yasuos fight looks a little silly with how none of the strikes actually land, and Tryn should not have looked unharmed. But that's really my only complaint the rest was amazing.

Its been confirmed my the riot devs that yes there are 3 time frames in the cinematic Past Demacia before kayle and morgana parted ways Present Freiljord (figured out how to spell the word sry if its still wrong) And a possible future for Ionia and yasuo's death in said possible future

Kindred is always a "metaphor" for dying. It's not really a being, more like a force... or like "representation of death", kinda like we have the Grim Reaper. There is a tiny bit of lore fail in the cinematic as the representation of Kindred should wary in different regions of Runeterra with this Wolf and Lamb one being strictly Demacian but I kinda understand that they need to make it consistent not to confuse viewers :D

Kindred being there is just what WE see as tryndamere fights for his life. In reality he’s fighting multiple soldiers, but the reason we see kindred is because they expect tryndamere to die.
