When I heard the news that Howard Zinn had passed away, I went numb and my heart sank. Not only was Howard Zinn an outstanding historian, but he was a decent human being who gave the voiceless and marginalized a voice and story. To all of us who seek a more just and humane world, it truely is a sad day. We will miss you Howard and never forget the significance of your work, which will live on through us to future generations. Rest in peace my brother.

The fact that Henry Kissinger somehow managed to outlive Howard is nothing short of a crime.

R.I.S Mr. Zinn. Your absence will be felt for a long time to come. First George Carlin, now Howard Zinn, and with Chosmky in his 80s I fear we are losing our most important intellectual leaders

Howard Zinn is one of these rare white americans with a conscience towar decency, making one wonder that perhaps white america does indeed have soul; one not necesserally sold to satan their god. RIP Mr. Zinn and join other brave human beings like William Lloyd Garrison. Be Blessed, Peace and Shalom
