They did the video in one take. James Blunt spoke with his Dad and explained what he wanted to do with the video. According to an interview I saw he said he was crying while singing but refused to autotune it to fix the crying. He was crying, the musicians and video crew were crying and his dad the stoic army pilot said " why are you all crying,? I'm still here". Unbelievable. Both he and his Dad were in the Military. Because of this song, James actually did chase his father's monster away. The words, "I'm not your son, you're not my father; We're just two grown men saying goodbye" stems from a statement that James and his father would share when James would be deployed, such as when James went to Kosovo. Kind of a no title statement saying they were equals. At least that is what I have learned after listening to just about every reaction to this song on KZbin. I really like how you platform your reactions. I've not seen another one like it. Take care and be well. Peace.

These reactors stopped the video too soon! There is a very touching moment at the very end of the video where his dad pats James' arm to comfort him. For some reason, most reactors miss that. I'm very surprised that that these two showed NO EMOTION! You will never gain subscribers unless you are authentic and vulnerable. And like they say on Shark Tank, "for that reason, I'm out".
