RIP Steve Mackey - Pulp - Live Bed Show Reaction

In this video we're honoring the music of Steve Mackey, bassist and producer for Pulp. We'd heard he'd passed today, so we figured it would be a good time to check more of this band that we barely know anything about, and pay tribute to this respected musician. Enjoy!

My favorite Pulp song is This Is Hardcore. Jarvis Cocker is a major talent. A very cinematic band.

So, i get up this morning to discover from a Hanier Family notification that Steve Mackay has died! Bit early to be checking out Steve! Sad times, great band. I only ever managed to see them live once, at a festival, they were superb. If you wanted to continue down the Pulp path, then there's a ton of stuff worth your time. Some of it is lyrically pretty dark and twisted though....im very fond of the This Is Hardcore album, i think one day it will be considered their masterpiece. It appears Wayne Shorter died on the same day, the guy behind Weather Report.
