Ordered the limb driven Ripcord Ratchet to try out. Not sure it will replace my Hamskea but it's worth a try.

Let me know how you like it

I’ve got both the ims and standard mount. I do like it better than the epsilon. They’re both lighter than epsilon

Thanks for the info

It only works slower if you put it on the right spot along the limb. If you put it too close to the tip it goes up and down as soon as you start to draw or release

Did you flip the bracket over on your sight to mount it on the inside or did you use a left-handed bracket I got the same sight for Christmas and I'm shooting the CP28
@BowDisciples18 күн бұрын
This bow has the centermass which the cp28 does not so you can't mount inside

What bow are you shooting I'm looking into getting a new one

I never noticed a draw issue with the wb compared to my fall away. The wb has also been proven to be just as accurate at long range.

Fine rest for sure

Good luck in Indiana. Ive hunted there before and its a great up and coming state for big bucks. The biggest typical in the US ever killed was shot in that state.

I use qad mxt all year but i could use a whisker biscuit during hunting season, it's just as accurate to a 100 yards. I still have a brand new ripcord older model, great rest also but stiffer load and louder on the shot, but reliable.

🤔interesting, I tried the HAMSKEA but went back to my QAD MXT not sure the hype about limb driven . Maybe an in depth video about pros and cons would be a hit Happy Holidays
@BowDisciplesАй бұрын
That could be a good idea
@thezapper007Ай бұрын
It’s just supports the arrow longer giving less room for some sort of spine inconsistency to send an arrow off slightly different. For close range hunting probably won’t notice a difference but if your heavy into target archery it’s controlling another variable for longer giving you a slight touch more accuracy and consistency. If your suck like me you won’t notice the difference 😂😂😂

You dont have to time a limb driven rest and, and you dont need a press to repair a limb driven rest and can be temporarily repaired in the field with just some d loop cord and back in time and still tuned. During a hunt. My buddys QAD on his mathews 2 weeks ago got stuck and he couldnt cock it up in the stand. It was only 35 degrees that morning and the rest is 10 months old

I had a ripcord ratcheting cable driven rest and the set screw kept getting loose, so I switched to the qad

Exactly why I keep a biscuit as a backup. I’m still not 100% convinced that a drop away is better for me, but that’s just me.

Biscuit is a great back up

If you watch a on a shooting machine in slow motion you can watch the limb driven arrow rest carry the arrow for so much longer meaning that it supports the arrow for so much longer compared to a driveway gets out of the way of the arrow really quick
@RWTupperАй бұрын
Have you noticed that it's louder than some other limb driven rests? I thought so. Had one on for about a month and realized I could shoot just as well through the biscuit which is quiet. Also there's a little tiny hex screw on the tightener dial that does absolutely nothing on this model. (It backs out then eventually falls out if you don't notice it.)
@RWTupperАй бұрын
FWIW, I had called Ripcord (after that set screw backed out several times) and they said that that set screw does nothing whatsoever on the limb driven model. Tension on limb cord (at least on mine) can be set with or without that set screw being loosened.

Need a shirt with a picture of an arrow stuck in a tree with the caption saying “that I dropped my bow” or “my 3rd axis is off”.😂
