After watching this video it honestly makes you wonder how many of our local shops have been setting bows up wrong the whole time

Yeah it's not a great idea to have a shop set up your bow in August. They slap things together and send it on its way.

Levi, you make things very easy to understand, very clear, very "everything", ...and I thank you very much! If you can improve the amount of light in your workshop you will reach the perfection!

Tie 4 square knots on top and four on the bottom, pull tight melt the ends....no need at all for superglue - he is having to use glue because he is using overhands not square knots....if you don't understand what i'm saying John Dudley has a good video showing the 'best' way to do it.

I first thing out of the box I always check A to A and brace against factory spec. Usually they are off a bit, sometime far enough that I fix that before proceeding with anything else. It is also worth noting that if you set your D loop before you check cam synch, and you have to adjust the cables to get the cams synched, then your D loop will move slightly. Might have to adjust D loop location a bit. Make sure and set your poundage before you sync the cams too, changing that limb angle changes everything. All good, what a great video from an incredible talent. Thanks.

Hey tim, I've gotten back in the sport and been on some what of the same journey your going down . I want a bow to shoot all year round and would love to be able to have consistency and a good shooting bow at 100+ yards. Thought about getting a g2 36 for a hybrid but not sure I should go that route. Through your experience, what would you recommend for a good hunting and target bow that will stretch out longer distance as well?

2 things to try with cam timing without a press. move a limb bolt or move the dloop. people with press put fluff in the cable which is funny as it’s temporary fix when they cant twist cables to fix it

You don’t change your out the factory strings before setting up the bow. Do you always use factory strings?
@tylerlee5349
@tylerlee5349 11 ай бұрын
Not all knock points can be dead center like that, or even really close. (Center actually makes more sense in my head but not the case) I just got a new Elite Omnia and set it up myself, and after setting her all up I checked out of curiosity and the knock point was 3/4” higher than center. If it were directly in center, arrow would be laying on the shelf and still pointing up. I center arrow on burger hole. As far as I know you want 90 degrees off string and arrow going through center of burger hole.

I could watch these videos all day. The bcy spectra, is the the same as bcy #23 d-loop material? Also with the LCA drawboard I've been told checking timing it will be incorrect if both stops hit at the same time because of the position of the peg, that the top should be half a twist out? Could you please do a video on this? Thanks GOAT 🐐

I first tie a d-loop and then make a second layer of serving inside it so that the d-loop will not be able to compress it No one does that, but in vain. You need to choose thinner threads for serving so that the 2 layers are not too thick. The advantage of this method is that the d-loop does not shift to each other and after doing it once you can forget about it, there will always be a small backlash of the nock inside the d-loop.

I will doing my own bows from now on. I just bought a new lift and the guy didn’t take the time with me to paper toon. I walked in he said your all set took my credit card hit me for $2500.00 and said your all set. He had no other customers in the shop. I felt like I was at a car dealership. I’m not sure how mathews allows this. I think it’s time to set my own shop up.

Wish could find a way to make archery cheaper and more accessible to people.. I struggled with opiate dependency for 11 years up until 4 years ago I was able to get clean . And in me trying to find something to keep me focused on n out of trouble I wanted to start shooting and hunting again. But even with a full time 45h week job no wife or kids I can’t afford it. And it sucks. I just think it would help so many people like me if we were able to shoot .and go to TAC meets n stuff
