Ripley's Aquarium of Canada short film (shot on Canon 6D Mark II)

It took me two months to finally put this out here because I was just losing motivation. It's been a rough two months, but I'm still looking forward to making this year the best year yet! This video means the most to me so far, and I would be so happy to hear your thoughts!!
The story:
So when I initially heard this song, I had this vision of the aquarium and portraying someone who's a dreamer. It begins and ends in the same place--she's staring into this fishtank thinking about how it would feel to be a part of their world. Throughout the video, she's just dreaming and exploring this fantasy. She realizes in the end, however, that they're still two worlds apart and it was only a dream.
(but I mean, I guess there are still other fish in the sea LOL)

I love your editing! I just picked up a 6d mark ii too and I can’t wait. I’m deciding between 35 1.4 and the 24 1.4. If my videos came out like this, I would be happy with my purchase! Haha 👍🏻

Have you decided on the lenses? I would say if video is your main hobby then 24mm otherwise 35mm for photography. You will have a hard time getting the bokeh or putting emphasis on subject with the wide lens. Btw a6500 user here.

Ahh you're too kind! Sorry this is so late! That's awesome! It's a very capable camera. I definitely would LOVE to add the 35 to my collection, but right now I only have the 24! I'd say it's based off of personal preference! I love the way the 24 looks in video, but 35 for portraits is stunning!

Eddie Perez haha oh my! You’re so kind! Thank you so much!! I totally wish though. I honestly didn’t have to do much. The lighting within the aquarium was quite nice and so are canon’s colours! I only added a bit of the Osiris M31 lut!

Ahh thank you so much for the kind words! So sorry for the super late reply, I haven't been active much! But I do feel like the 6Dmkii is an adequate camera. For video, the colours are great, and it does what it needs to do. I'd just say it's lacking a bit in sharpness, autofocus sensitivity, and dynamic range, but it is what you'd expect from an entry-level Canon camera I think! I'm not sure if this is still helpful!

Dude this is absolutely beautiful, how high was you’re iso, what’s the highest you’ve taken up too and still have usable image?

Thank you so much for the kind words! I believe I tried to shoot everything between iso 800-1000 for this. For images, I've shot up to 6400, I personally think anything higher would be too grainy for my liking!!
