If anything I see this as finally getting an upgrade to Sweet Sorrow, which is also a 17 Zoom Rapid Fire frame that could get Enhanced Tap The Trigger on it, but it didn't really have any good lethality perks to push it past that so all you could really do is just bring up the consistency, The Riposte lets you have both.

Target lock was NOT nerfed on autorifles...and it has a high fire rate. It is Immortal before nerf with 30m range.

.67 and .75 is a big gap. Target lock only helps 720s from .83ms down to .75ms which is what they really need, idk whoever thought having a low range-stability gun with slow ttk was a good idea( their DEFAULT TTK is .83m which is both slower than .8 of 600s and 720s same as 360s). Basically without target lock 720s are just trash 360s, at .75ms the thing is basically a longer range slower smg perfectly where 720s supposed to behave: smg-ar hybrid

Target lock just removes the optimal TTK resilience gate at 10 res on this archetype. After all the changes to target lock, it's not always worth it anymore. If you miss a single shot with target lock it has negligible effects on this. It's a waste of a perk slot if you don't land all your crits. There are other good perks on this that will see more use.

I'm sorry, "Neat sound?" That's the default AR sound they've been reusing for literally 10 years. I hate it. It sounds like a Splatoon weapon. It makes it feel weak. They made this beautiful AR and gave it the same cheap plinky sfx instead of something more robust.

To me the Riposte feels like a long range, light weight SMG with about 3 times the magazine size. I like it quite a bit on MnK. I think the Magazine size is slept on its absurdly large. With an 8 bullet kill you can wipe the enemy team w/out reloading if you actually hit all the shots.

I've been obsessed with this auto rifle. I've always liked 720s, put in a lot of work with my old arctic haze and crafted sweet sorrow, so seeing one thats also lightweight and looks as clean as this got me grinding comp again. First roll after bugfix was zen moment kill clip with high cal and full bore, range masterwork. I'm very happy with it but I'm still grinding for one with target lock, just to try out.

You should give it a shot without Fitted Stock as well. I've been having more issues with the gun bouncing when I try to give it better recoil direction. Something about the odd behavior of deterministic recoil that's baked into The Riposte. I use the gun at the base 66 recoil direction, and it honestly feels better to me that way.

I’m a controller player and I love the weapon, Kill clip and Killing wing as a lightweight frame is great for PvP I can hit headshots without even thinking about it in close to long range fights and sometimes long range and in certain game modes it kind of forces you to fight players and not focus on the game mode itself but it helps your teammates if you can solo full teams without thinking about it so I recommend it.💯

I played a few matches last night and everyone start out as if everyone thought it was just team deathmatch.

He picks up a ton himself so his team can't collect them, then he spawncamps the enemy until he's overran so they collect their own crests plus his own and score, or he spawnflips and now they're gunning his team down behind him while the crests at enemy spawn sit and rot until they despawn. Yeah, people have problems turning in crests in this game more for sure. He's just making it nearly impossible for his team to actually be in position to get the few crests he's not hoovering up himself.

Slaying out doesn't mean anything when the mode is about collecting and depositing crests, and Cammy's disdain for doing so in this match probably single-handedly cost his team the match. Cammy did go in with the intent to just try out Riposte, but it's silly to blame his teammates for the loss when it was his play that hurt them more than his teammates.

Tribute is fun with a full fireteam but with randoms it blows. If they made it so all 3+ stacks get put in a separate matchmaking for tribute and solos/ duos matchmake into a different gamemode it would fix a few problems. 6 stacks would not stomp in every lobby and tribute would feel better because you are more likely to have competent teammates.

Target lock kind of works because sometimes you land a lot of bodies so it helps, but desperate measures is probably the best damage perk to go for if you want one, kill clip is just ugh idk man not as good is it seems on paper. Has probably the lowest actual usage to kill conversion rate of all damage perks in the game. I'm getting old man, I don't got time to play these kill clip mini games, im there to drop 40+ plus kills and move onto the next

I have the same roll, killing wind and kill clip are the best for this gun and you can enhance perks, its a monster when you get a kill and thats not very difficult, well all i can say its lights out and you are unnstoppable, it can work in trials as well

I love this gun but I HATE the gun sound. It sounds like every other Auto Rifle, and it's even more annoying to hear after the huge wave of Summoners we had a couple months ago. I have Zen/DSR and I tried it out with an airborne loadout. Icarus mod, flight compensators and the AE boost from Actium War Rig and it was pretty nice in 6v6. Lots of precision hits. It's not really a Slayer build but controller players don't like to look up so I got quite a few free kills from the air.

I just wish it wasn't a 720, they're such a mediocre archetype of auto and the only weapon to have it's optimal TTK resilience gated by a significant amount after the health changes. Something that hurts 720s a lot, even if it's gated at 100 res. This point is a complete nitpick because it has access to stocks, and it's a bigger issue with the wider rapid fire archetype. But despite it being a great weapon, it still doesn't feel like it hits the quality bar of a competitive reward. This is mainly down to the stats (and the clunky res gate), another problem that all rapid fires have. It's almost tied with Rufus for best in class. But like I said, 720s have low stats in general. It would be nice if it got a slight boost in stats aside from the stocks, +7 in range, aim assist or stability at most. Not all three stats though, that would probably be a bit much. The Lightweight frame really does help a lot, but it's not an area that it's particularly struggling in. Even if it benefits more than others from a strafe bonus. And even though it already has the lightweight frame, I feel like it can still have a small stat boost in one or two areas to push it out a bit further than a typical rapid fire. It wouldn't break it to have both. Comp rewards should stand out a bit more than they currently do, Rose and Mercurial were amazing in their respective designs. They stood out, they were the top of their class and were competitive archetypes within their respective weapon families. But the latest two don't stand out very well, although riposte is certainly the best 720 at least. They did not pick competitive archetypes within their weapon families, and they didn't do a whole lot to remedy that. It would be a lot better if they tried to at least compensate for the bad hand they're dealt by just being their archetypes. I have a bigger issue with Belisarius-D though. Another nearly mediocre archetype (not bad), that was only really chosen as the comp reward because the community sees 4-bursts with rose tinted glasses and Bungie wanted to bring them back. 4-bursts aren't really competitive in this meta, the delay between shots is too big. This makes the 4th shot a liability at times and hurts them when you inevitably strafe. High impacts are just better pulses, they do the same job too. But they're better. There are so many other 4-bursts from non-pinnacle sources too. And they have similar/better stats and perk pools with the same god roll combinations. This is the biggest issue with Belisarius, It's barely deserving of the competitive reward title, at least riposte has something unique and is clearly the best legendary 720 in the game. But Belisarius has mediocre stats and no perk combos that really stand out in comparison. Disparity and blast furnace shouldn't be better than it by such a large margin, it's the competitive reward. It should have a slight edge on the competition in it's archetype. It shouldn't be so easily power crept. If i didn't know any better, you could call Blast Furnace the comp reward and I'd believe you. Another problem with 720s is their design space. Generally 720s are functionally a mix between an auto and an SMG, but they don't excel at either roles. When it comes to 720s, it feels like you're better off just choosing a different auto archetype if you want an auto. You'll get more range, better stats and an optimal TTK that isn't inconsistent based on resilience. Or an SMG if you want something for close range. They both tread on 720s because its trying to be both. Jack of all trades, master of none. Riposte does break the mould, but it's not exactly by a large enough margin. Riposte is undoubtedly the best 720, and it's strong enough to be good despite the pitfalls of rapid fires. But it's still not saying much when rapid fires still have such glaring issues. I think it needs to stand out just a bit more as a comp reward. It's a 720, so it's not like it will dominate the meta if the stats are buffed slightly. The muzzle flash also needs to be reduced. If this is changed and rapid fires are buffed globally it would change a lot. The weapon model is so good, I just wish it had more room to breathe at ascendent. It's a competitive reward after all.

I tested some recoil against a wall and by far 86-100 is the move for recoil direction for controller at least (ps5). Half the time you don't go invis either even when you down someone with a debuff on them and the cooldown is up. Stylish Executioner is buggy.

Who added this weapon and thought it was ok is my question Console is unplayable because its all riposte since its good stats, good perks, every roll will do great, just do 3 comp and you have a fun killer weapon! #1 auto rifle HATER
