RIPOUT - UEVR (6DOF Motion controls revisit)

Revisiting this one with the new knowledge on how to get better adjustments by looking at the right thing in the UObjectHook menu. In this video you can see me trial and error adjust to get better lined up projectiles with the mesh. Sadly the pistol sidearm is at a 90 degree vertical offset but rarely used so still fun. Still some parenting to the headset of the upper torso but not as extreme as seen in something like Necromunda. RIPOUT has been updated a lot since it's Early Access release in October and is currently in the Steam Winter Sale with a -20% discount!

Hopefully, yes. I guess settings might be slightly different depending on what headset you're using, so having a Quest 2 profile (in my case) and not having to tweak settings would be wonderful!

You can drop in anyone else's config in the UEVR folder if you want someone's settings. Not really 'Optimal Settings' but more the minority of bigger games people will want these kind of motion controls for. Most games just click inject and tweak to personal preference.

Which button did you use to turn on the flashlight using the touch controllers? Thanks for the profile.

Think it may have been a stick press or a dpad. Think the UI shows it, if you don’t have a dpad and using steamVR you may have to set up a binding for them. OpenXR defaults to the thumb rest and left stick to trigger the dpad which isn’t available on openVR.

Hey I am trying to attach pawn to gun model but it is not working (Luna Abbys demo), I can see this simplified model after clicking adjust but I don't know how to save position (no controller button working) and when I go back to uevr menu I have to start over, am I missing something? I ticked permanent change off course.

Haven’t tried making 6DOF in that demo, been a while and was before I had uobjecthook in the build. Is it okay to post this in the flat2VR discord section for Luna Abyss? Will remind me to revisit and have a look at making one. Also we have a new build of UEVR to check it with as well. 1.02
